Novotel Macon Nord Autoroute du Soleil

Was exactly what i was expecting. We just needed a bed for the night while traveling down to the Alps. The room and bathroom were clean. the beds were comfortable and it was very quite. We all had an evening meal in the restaurant which was traditional French food and very tasty and quick. Was great to be able to eat on site to save traveling back out again. There was also a nice bar arear where we could have an evening drink. Location was perfect as far as i was concerned. Straight off and back on to the motor way. Even a fuel station on site

Easy access; nice layout; clean; lots of parking. Really fast check in and check out. It was quite busy but not noisy and never felt over full.

The restaurant was severely understaffed on the night we stayed. This is possibly more an issue with staffing in that sector in that location but we ate dinner in Maçon because the wait for service was looking long. The poor restaurant manager looked in the verge of a nervous breakdown so we probably did him a favour by going out.

Close to highway but silent. Parking available - we had no problem finding a spot (arriving at 21:00) Very comfy bed. (The one for kids was also totally fine even tho more basic). Hotel is a clean but yes it’s not the newest, however they try to maintain it well. Dogs are allowed and even tho am allergic to dogs, I didn’t notice anything (not sure whether there are specific rooms for people travelling with dogs) Great breakfast! Much better than expected - fresh bread/ croissants etc good choice of fruit and joghurt. Very nice local honey. 2 kind of cheeses, slices of chicken, jam. Small selection of cereals. I’d definitely recommend this place.

Very convenient location and facilities exactly what you need after a long drive.

Hotel looking quite old and could do with a refresh.

We select this stay-over on our way to the south because of its swimming pool and its proximity to the highway. This motel style hotel has all the required facilitees and a good breakfest. Polite service.

All is as expected.

Nice pool area, friendly staff , bar and restaurant, close proximity to autoroute, easy to find.

Room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived. No restaurants or shops within walking distance so limited to hotel.

Excellent breakfast, handy to have a restaurant on site so no driving on the evening of arrival. Good communal area to site and have a drink. Room was good, just about fitted a family of 4, good value for money, and great location for drive to the mountains.

Was a bit of a squeeze for 4, but not unexpected

Perfect location for overnight stopover to alps, easy parking, quiet location off main road/motorway. Bar and restaurant providing good quality food and value for money. Rooms clean and functional, mattress v comfortable. For what we paid it was very good value. Staff friendly and helpful.

Decent parking . I drive a van so park away from the building . Plenty of space . Not used the restaurant but food looks good .

Bathroom could do with updating . Each time ive stayed the bath drain wouldn't empty . A few marks on the fixtures you don't want to see especially in this covid time . Just needs a bit of tlc

Room was good size and had aircon, good choice for dinner and desserts , bed was comfortable and shower was good with plenty of towels.

There wasn't a full time person at the bar .
