Lille City Hotel

Even with all the photos, it's hard to know what you're going to get when you book accommodation online. I'm so glad I chose this one! The location is absolutely perfect... in the shopping area, which is vibrant, full of cafes and restaurants, yet we didn't hear a sound when we were in our room. The hotel is basic... but don't be put off by that. It had all we needed. The room was very clean, the bed very comfy and the shower was powerful and lovely. Mostly what I loved about this hotel was the staff. They were very accomodating but, moreso, they were all genuinely friendly. The guy on reception was particularly lovely... and funny!

The location is the best of the choice. It is a little bit old but clean. It is walking distance to the grand place and main sightseeing places and it is very convenient to find restaurants and stores next door even at night. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room is spacious and especially the bathroom is big! I would recommend to stay next time.

It would be perfect if they could provide complimentary bottled water and snacks in the room, but fortunately there is a store next door so I could get water to drink.

I booked this 3-star hotel and it was perfect for the price and for a central location; the room was good in.all respects for an economic price. I felt aafe as a single lady and they wete able to offer a single room keeping the cost very reasonable. I didnt take breakfast so cant comment on that.

English speaking TV channel option would have been good, although I appreciate Lille isi in.France.! Next time will take laptop. Will visit Lille again and will stay at City Hotel..

The room was super clean and fresh, the bed was exceptionally comfortable as was the linen. The whole hotel was designed in a modern style .I also liked the smell of coffee that permeated, throughout the hotel. Hard to find a better location in Lille, with the shopping/eating right on the doorstep.

Last minute booking at a budget hotel so had no great expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Friendly and helpful staff, good quiet room, very comfortable bed and small but powerful shower. Breakfast was very good value and all you needed to start the day. Walked everywhere.

No Tea and coffee in the room and no view from window but plenty of light.

We were very pleased with the work of staff, being there 24/7 to solve any arising issues. Everyone is super friendly, and it made a great atmosphere. We had breakfast included, and I consider it a good decision because we could spend some time every morning on a nice terrace enjoying coffee and pastries. My partner especially appreciated the black-out windows; they gave us some good night's sleep.

We took the cheapest room available since we were not staying there a long time, but what I found inconvenient in the planning is that the coat rack was right over the table (we moved the table and the problem disappeared, but nevertheless it would be best if it wasn't there in the first place).

The location near the train station but also the old town was perfect. You get what you pay for but this was better than we expected. Staff (especially on reception) were all wonderful and it met our needs perfectly. Yes the room was small but it was clean and the bathroom was more than adequate.

In a heatwave maybe the air con could have been a little stronger in the bedroom.

Perfect location in city centre for visiting Lille. Booked a parking place in the Effia Republique car park just a few minutes' walk away. The staff were super friendly, the triple room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast room was bright and pleasant.

We were a bit wary about the entrance via the closed down shopping centre, however we were pleasantly surprised once inside the actual hotel.

Convenient location, comfortable bed, the bathroom was clean and in very good condition

The entrance on the ground floor - the area after opening the door with the code - before the lifts gives off a funky smell, the view from the window was overlooking an indoor space with a roof

10 min walk from Flandres station, a touch longer from Euro Tunnel station - Good location in the heart of the city. Comfy hotel, decent breakfast clean rooms, would stay again - a number of rooms were booked all felt it was ok

Check in after hours is via door code to enter building - No problem really
