Very charming hotel at few minutes walk from Lille train station in pedestrian zone in centre of Lille. Pleasant professional reception. Good beds. Good breakfast. Nice bathroom. Great view.

The hand held shower and lack of shower curtain are a little uncomfortable. The area is a bit noisy at night due to pedestrians passing by probably coming from cafes and restaurants (for the sensitive to this: bring earplugs). We parked in the very large parking garage at Lille Grand Palais / Zenith (paid), 15 minuts walking from the hotel. But these are details compared with the great charm and wonderful location of this hotel.

Only expected to stay one night, ended up staying a second night The male member on the desk, extremely welcoming. Gave me a very quiet room (which I always ask for as I don’t sleep well). The view was amazing out of my window too. Gave me a tray with a kettle tea, coffee complimentary chocolate nuts. Felt so much more welcomed. Customer service 10 out of 10.

I just don’t like the idea of having to ask for a kettle,tea and coffee when you pay almost €100 for a room. Especially when it’s available. I can not eat early in the morning so having a couple of coffee’s is all I require. I choose this hotel because it stated it was a coffee house. I was told I could have beer or any other bottles at any time but not hot drinks. So the information on facilities on booking.com really needs to be changed as it’s misleading. Although I was sat in reception and saw another couple ask for a beer and a cup of tea ( this was served). I’m just a bit confused.

I really enjoyed my stay. I had a really nice room, very clean and large walk in shower. I know from my colleagues that not all the rooms had this, so I was lucky. The location was perfect, a few minutes walk to the centre and surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants.

The only down side was that it was a very hot and the hotel does not have air conditioning. I asked for a kettle which they brought to my room but I only had 1 tea bag! This was the same for breakfast, you only got 1 tea bag with the tea pot and I do like my tea in the morning!

lovely decorated room that feels unique and not like a big chain. helpful staff who are happy to speak English. secure parking at a discounted rate. room was light, airy and clean and we had a great view of the church.

unfortunately there were roadworks on the street between 0730-1700 next to the hotel. it looks like it should be finished soon and we were put in a room furthest away which we appreciate but meant we couldn’t open the window due to the sound. I could also hear snoring from the room next door, not a problem if you’re a heavy sleeper but sometime to be aware of if you are a very light sleeper then bring earplugs. we also experienced a few mosquito at night which we weren’t expected!

the Brueghel hotel is ideally positioned near to the rail stations and the city centre. it is very authentic and well kept. it was cosy warm and clean with a useful 2 person lift to get your luggage up to your room. the rooms are also cosy e with window shutters to keep them dark but also let air in. the rooms are kept immaculate and serviced daily. Lastly and most importantly the staff were very friendly and helpful always greeting you with a smile. Lovely hotel and would definitely recommend 👍

We had stayed before and liked the authentic french style and character of the hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff were so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, we were able to leave our luggage for the day which was so helpful. Emilie was really lovely and helpful, she couldn’t have done more for us.

Very noisy outside but too hot to close the windows. I suppose air conditioning is the answer but realise this must be a huge expense.

Receptionist - super helpful and knowledgeable. Check in process very easy, traditional room keys (a key to the old school approach within the hotel)

Car parking was provided in the local multi storey car park only 200 m away. Unfortunately the entrance to the car park was closed along with a number of streets . This meant that car parking turned out to be more complicated / stressful than necessary. If you need car parking - well worth asking in advance which entrance to use and are the roads closed

Wonderful hotel with typically charming French feel, run with care and attention by staff who were interested in providing a good experience. Breakfast was wonderful. Also liked the bed linen which was clean and soft cotton without smelling of any fabric conditioner. Beds comfortable. Very well situated within walking distance of both main railway stations, with heavy suitcases. Generally a quiet ambience at night. ( helps when you want a good nights sleep ! ) .

Unfortunately one our two rooms ( overlooking the rear of the hotel ) did attract some mosquitos in the night with the window open. At reception mosquito traps were avilable if you asked but we failed to ask and it was a one night stay.

it's a old-style hotel, which, when travelling for work, is sometimes very welcome, as opposite to superstylish yet cold and impersonal new hotels. the price is great for Lille (other hotels are overpriced), and the location is fantastic - near to the train station, in the heart of the city. the views from the room, just opposite to St Maurice church, are great. I'll surely be back whenever travelling to Lille.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of town, and everything was perfect during our stay. The staff were lovely - especially the night manager - the rooms were spotlessly clean and a decent size (especially given the modest price). We had a gorgeous view of the church opposite and couldn't have asked for a better stay.

You could sometimes hear other guests trying to enter their rooms, but the noise disruption was pretty minimal.
