Eurohostel made my stay easy and enjoyable. The receptionists kindly helped me to call a taxi from bus station, recommended sightseeings on Sunday and adbised on nabigation in the capital. It was convenient, that take-away breakfast is provided. Thanks to location, I could afford long day in the city and confortable way to the airport. Room was clean, cosy and conveniently furnished. Toilets and showers are kept at top level.

The only frustrating thing for me was the food for breakfast, but that's a matter of taste and habit. You won't be hungry. The thing I was missing - separate trash bins, but I have no idea how the waste collection system works in Finland. In general, good place for its price. Would recommend to the friends.

It is really close to the main attractions of the city. You can just walk from one place to the other. The staffs are really accommodating. The facility is nice. They have washing machines and dryers, saunas, a restaurant next door, they provide clean towels, you have your own locker inside the room. The room is quite spacious.

I think the carpet in the hallway needs updating. And the curtains in the room needs at least some dusting. Cause I'm allergic to dust mites and my throat was really itchy every time I'm in the hostel, but I'm totally fine when I'm out and about. I was really sorry to my roommates cause i keep on clearing my throat the whole night.

The location is phenomenal with free luggage storage. The room itself was big and provided enough storage space in the closet. The staff are always present in reception for anything. We got given clean towels which was great. Sauna is free in the mornings and would recommend trying it out. It is a small room, but there is soap before you go into it when you shower for cleanliness. The room was well-heated/warm for the winter month. Overall, I would recommend it for a few days to stay. You can buy the Helsinki card from them too.

The beds weren't the softest, but still ok to sleep on. We didn't get any shampoo, conditioners or soap - bring your own.

I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of our room and how friendly/helpful all the staff were. The staff went above and beyond in providing recommendations on sites to visit and how to get there.

My recommendation is for the clients staying at the hostel. One morning someone left a pot filled with rice in the sink and didn't clean up after themselves. Perhaps a security camera could be installed in each kitchen facility and additional signage reminding clients to respect all travelers by cleaning up their mess. One small recommendation would be to install paper towels in the bathrooms. The majority of people are using toilet paper to dry their hands.

First time back in nearly tens years (have stayed here many times before). Great location, on Katajanokka, and within walking distance of the city centre. Reasonably priced and has a morning sauna included, if you have a standard room. Used the communal kitchen for breakfast, which has basic cutlery, crockery and equipment (cooking hobs, microwave, kettle). Bar downstairs has more reasonably priced drinks (compared with restaurants in the city centre). Room was warm and of a reasonable size. Generally clean. The Wi-Fi has been updated and is not excellent throughout. Friendly staff.

Equipment in the communal kitchen and room is a little basic, and not been updated in years (I have been staying here since 2010).

Cleanliness, the bed, the staff and the location.

Everything was almost perfect. However, the kitchen space lacked some essentials for cooking, such as oil, salt, and pepper (I can't imagine myself buying oil, salt, or pepper for just a few days and then packing them in my little suitcase to take back home...). It would be a good idea to also have a spot for storing non-refrigerated items. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow, but being European and having access to my data, it wasn't a problem for me.

We booked the budget room. There was enough space to store our luggage (2 wardrobes, a shelf), there was a table with chairs. Good price/value ratio. The hostel cares about ecology. The reception is open 24/7 (it was very convenient for us, since we arrived during the night). There are 3 kitchens, you can even borrow board games in the lounge room (2nd floor). Good location, you can either go by tram (lines 4 a 5), or you can walk from the city center (ca 20 minutes walk from Senaatintori). There is a morning sauna included in the price of the accommodation.

The room could have been slightly cleaner (the walls just above the floor were a bit dirty, but nothing horrific). There could be more privacy in the bathrooms (the "doors" in the showers do not go from the floor up to the ceiling, they are just something like "swinging doors"). It was a bit far to the kitchens (they are located on the 4th, 5th and 6th floor, but we were staying on the 2nd floor). The lounge was good, but during our stay, people weren't using it much = you should count on that if you are for example travelling alone and want to meet new people. But overall, we were satisfied and would gladly stay in this hostel again! :)

Location is excellent, especially if you're leaving/arriving on the Viking line ships. Next to a tram stop (one of the good tram stops, where you can actually buy a ticket across the street if you need to), clean and quaint, free breakfast and coffee in the morning, not too crazy. Considering how expensive Helsinki is, this really is the best value you can get in the city, as far as I'm concerned. The locals all know this hostel, and when they ask where you're staying and you say 'a hostel', this is the one they all think of (because they use it too when they need to). I always stay here in Helsinki, and unless something bizarre happens I probably always will.

The kitchens are a little too small and unequipped for how popular this place is, but it's not life or death, since I'm one of those losers that are perfectly happy to sit in my room alone eating plain bread.

The staff were terrific and very helpful, the communal kitchen and toilet areas were clean and the TV in the room was an unexpected plus. Good WiFi throughout the building. There is a #4 tram stop a few steps from the front door which takes you straight into the city centre, and the #5 tram stops a bit further down the road so you're easily connected to the sights. It's also handily located if you're arriving by boat at the Katajanokka Terminal, it's a few minutes walk away.

The showers weren't great, can't tell if I had a dodgy one but they only sprayed lukewarm water for a few seconds at a time. Also the saloon-style doors of the cubicles are not the most comforting.

A clean room, a very comfortable bed, a big table, a good and quiet location (just 1 minute on foot from a tram stop), very friendly hostel staff, a possibility to have a breakfast in the hostel, a good breakfast, free morning sauna, clean bathrooms on the floor, a possibility to darken the room in the night. A lot of shelves in the room. Common kitchens on the floors. Spacious reception room with enough siting possibilities. A luggage storage room. They draw attention to saving resources in the hostel.

A breakfast could be served on weekend, as on week days, starting at 7, not 8 a.m. A bright lamp near the bed was shining directly in the eyes. Too strong water flow in the wash-hand-stand in the bathrooms. Unfortunately, it was not possible to reduce this flow manually. One could save water, if it would be possible to change the water flow.
