Solymar Naama Bay

I have stayed at the Solymar a few times. It's not expensive and a great location. Despite it being in Naama bay the noise is quiet as it is not amongst the major noise. I am staying ain't in December. Its a quiet small hotel with a nice calm vibe. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to accommodate you.

I am happy that the entertainment at the hotel is minimal as I go out clubbing at all the main parties but if you are expecting hotel entertainment every night this is not the place.

No internet/WiFi in the rooms

We enjoyed every minute, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the food and drinks super delicious, and the pool and the garden just beautiful. Even staying the whole day in the resort would mean a perfect day and we wouldn't miss absolutely anything. Even though the nearest beach is just couple of minutes by walk and it's perfect (just not free). I would definitely come back again, all the employees were very nice and they always made sure we didn't miss anything. Despite what some reviews are saying, the room was cleaned properly every day abd we loved the personal touch of different animal towel creatures every day!

We would appreciate Wi-fi in the rooms definitely, as the "winter" evenings were long and it was quite inconvenient to use mobile data to watch movies.

the staff they are amazing and they are really helpful and professional and kind.

i don’t like the transportation schedule of from the hotel to the beach and vise verse, the calemera beach wasn’t clean enough. and the food in hotel is not in the good quality also needs to be more variety and they didn’t make something different in their menu, same list daily.

The team were the highlight of this hotel, they couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and looked after - they work so hard! We were upgraded to a larger room with a nice sized balcony. We had a great experience with the tailor based in the hotel - would recommend visiting!

The cleanliness of the room was a bit lacking, there was broken glass on the floor which wasn't cleaned. The fridge & TV weren't working. We weren't bothered enough to tell reception but I know they would have replaced them had we have informed them during the stay. The wi-fi situation isn't great and should definitely be upgraded for a better experience. As you will read from other reviews, the rooms are dated but the property grounds are beautiful and so well looked after.

Although room cleaning fell short, the delicious food and thoughtful breakfast for our early departure made up for it. The abundance of activities was a pleasant surprise, and while I can't recall all the names, everyone was exceptionally nice. Overall, an amazing experience, just a minor hiccup in room cleanliness."

No WiFi but the entire city didn't have, the only place with WiFi was at the reception and the kitchen. Cleanness in the bedroom was lacking, better cleaning must be improvised.

its far from the road and hard to find any transportation, and its not at naama bay it’s located at naama heights

Everything was simply wonderful! The staff is great, the food delicious, great drinks directly at the gorgeous swimming pool and they have a beautiful garden all around the apartments. Even if the location is not directly at the beach we could see the see from our balcony and on the terrace of the bar there is a spectacular view of the desert mountains where the sun set directly behind. We love walking and we were going by foot but there is a free shuttle service to the beach which goes each 30min. We definitely recommend this place!

This a small hotel has a family feel to it. The staff are extremely attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms, whilst a little tired, are impeccably clean and tidy - thank you to the amazing house-keeping team. Late check outs, and last day, day- use was easily facilitated by the reception team, the pool team kept the whole area spotless, animation team took good care of everyone too. In the buffet style restaurant, chefs were accessible for any special dietary requirements and again, spotless facilities.

En suite bathrooms could do with updating and had an odour to them but apart from that, spotlessly clean!

If you are looking to book the best quality for a very good price then look no further - this is the place! Regardless of its 4 stars, the hotel provides 5 star service. The whole team is keeping up to the best professional standards and making sure the whole operations are running flawlessly to make their guests happy. The rooms are nice and very clean, of a generous size, comfy beds. I wouldn’t wish for more. Daily cleaning and a big bottle of water are also provided. The facilities and the premises of the hotel are great too. It is not a big hotel, but very cosy. The gardeners are working very hard every day to keep it so beautiful and authentic. I couldn’t take my eyes off all those gorgeous trees and flowers all over the place. A true paradise! A huge thank you to Mr Karam, the head of the gardening team. The seafront is 20 mins walk away. Shuttle bus is prompt and scheduled a few time during the day. The driver is a very friendly and happy chap. The food is bespoke! If you are a big foodie like myself, you will enjoy it so much. The Executive chef of the restaurant Mr Mohammed has stolen my heart with his specialities and deserts. A big man with a big heart. He makes sure he greets all the guests and everyone is happy with their meals. Every day, I was looking forward to his food! Su chefs and the waiters were also extremely professional and friendly at all times. The reception team, thank you All for your kind support and advices! A special thank you goes to the Front House Manager - Mr Ibrahim and reception members John and Ahmed. Ihab, the bartender who is always welcoming, does the best coctails. Mohammed, Housekeeping Supervisor is doing a fantastic job by keeping the rooms neat and spotless! I would like to mention that every team member speaks very good English. Can't thank you enough for making my stay in Egypt so comfortable and special!
