The best thing about it is the location. The room was clean and, although small, it served its purpose. We visited Annapolis for the Sailboat Show so we were in the room to sleep only. The show was a short walk away. The immediate surrounding area has lots of shops and restaurants. We had breakfast at the restaurant below. The food was great. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. We decided not to go for the limited breakfast selection included for free but we got a substantial credit towards our order. Some reviews I read said that they paid for parking. We did not. We got vouchers at the restaurant (which is where you check in) that covered the full cost of parking.

There was a constant ticking noise coming from the next building air handling unit. The entrance “vestibule” is about 40”x40” and it is a common entrance between the restaurant and the hotel. Too small for when you are coming with luggage. Parking is an 8 minute walk away from the place.

For myself, because I was in the area for roughly 48-72 hours, having a spot to decompress & sleep was my necessity, I didn't need a lavish room, but functional & comfortable. The Chick & Ruth Deli attached to The Inn on Main presented easily accessible eating with hours that were earlier & longer than most neighboring restaurants, but my rooms ,situated about the Deli, I didn't hear a peep of the talk or restaurant activity below me. I found their breakfast options or discount as part of the stay worked very well also.

My only concern is that with it being a much older building it isn't ADA friendly, Stairs somewhat narrow are the only way to get from floor to floor. As someone, with friends using wheelchairs, this Inn is not a flexible option for them. However, Staff was quick to help with bags & available for questions.

Nice location, great staff and very clean rooms. The breakfast options were exceptional as well as the convenience! It was also nice to have the 1/2 price parking voucher to save on the parking garage fees.

I liked this inn and the following statements are just for review purposes: This inn is upstairs with 2 floors & I don't recall seeing an elevator. We did not mind the 2 flights of stairs to our room on the 3rd floor. Individuals with issues climbing stairs should ask for a second-floor room. Parking could be an issue due to the parking garage behind the inn being under construction at this time (Summer 2022). There was another parking garage that was approximately an 8-minute walk from the inn. Not really a big deal for me but I wanted to provide an accurate review.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff was excellent. Location was excellent.

The noise level in the front room was understandably higher than it would have been in any other room, due to the street noise. We live in a rural area, so we are not used to street noise. However, we expected that when we booked. It wasn't bad enough to dampen our visit. The mattress does need to be replaced. You can see indentations in the mattress from overuse.

The location is central to everything in old town. The breakfast was a credit to anything g off the menu. The food was fantastic and prices were very good. The allowance coved a very good breakfast.

The building is old. They do a great job of keeping up the maintenance. I went to a friend’s hotel that was Three times the price. It too was an older building. I am glad I stayed in where I did.

The outside and entrance to the hotel is less inviting as the hotel check in is done at the restaurant bar. The room was very nice, bright, clean and one could not hear any noise from the downstairs restaurant. The bathroom was clean of good size. Towels were changed every day. The best is indeed the location: Right in the center of downtown Annapolis with all the shopping and dining options. I would come back any time. They offer discounted parking in the near by parking garage.

My room was located facing at Main Street that meant street noise and noise from the street restaurants until 11 PM and later on Saturday. Sunday and Monday were fine. The free breakfast did not hit my taste spots. You take a seat in the quite basic restaurant that belongs to the Inn. The menu does not include (m)any healthy choices. But if you like a hearty American breakfast and large milk shakes. You are at the right place. If not there is a Starbucks and other options very close by.

The deli was fabulous. Best breakfasts I've had in a long time. The baked goods are incredible and the desserts are out of this world Delicious. The location was right in the heart of things. It is a quaint Inn.

The only thing stopping us from giving it a 10 or the beds. They're in need of upgrading. Too soft in worn springs had everybody sinking to the middle. You could not get in and out of the bed without waking up the partner.

The people that worked at Chick & Ruth’s were so friendly and accommodating! We’d stay again!

We had a great location right downtown, but then it was pretty noisy on that Friday night until the early morning hours. Nothing you can do about that though. It was the only thing I could think of that I didn’t like. Maybe a room in the back next time, our room was right on the street.

I have been staying at the Scotlaur Inn, now the Inn on Main, once a year for almost 20 years. Never have they failed to be kind, welcoming, fun, and have accommodated me when necessary. What an amazing, professional, and down-to-earth group of people who are truly like a family. Who could ask for anything more when traveling away from home?

Not one thing.
