The location was good. The courtyard was a real bonus, and the staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The size of room 67 was really good. We ate several times in the evening at the 3 swans and all of my party were happy with the quality of the food.

We were unable to get serverd a drink after 11:00 although there were several paying guests that wanted to purchase a night cap. One downside for our room was there was a stale smell in the corridor leading to our room, which was very off-putting. You could see the cleaner was doing a great job in the rooms and visible that carpets were regularly hoovering etc it seems as though the carpet has got wet, which needs pulling up to address the fixable situation.

The hotel is located on the High St so very convenient. Our room was in a block to the rear of the property in a quiet spot with plenty of free parking. We were using the hotel as a base for an event in Corby only 20 minutes away. Our room was large with high quality toiletries and tea/ coffee/biscuit selection. The staff were very friendly especially in reception and the restaurant/bar. The food was excellent and there was a good menu with option of full meal or more tapas style meal. Breakfast was excellent - bacon/sausage was very high quality.

We were expecting dressing robe + slippers as was listed on the room details but none available. Also room was not serviced properly - tissue box was not replaced. Pillows, Cushions and bed cover were left on chairs when we returned for 2nd night.

Great location in middle of Hight Street- beautiful hanging baskets and pots in the cobbled courtyard. Our room was in an annexe with plenty of free parking at the rear. No air conditioning but happy to open windows + desktop fan provided. High quality tea coffee tray in the room. En suite had bath + shower with high quality toiletries but no robe or slippers as per advert. Restaurant was good as possible to jhave full meal or lighter tapas option. Staff were pleasant + gave good service. Breakfast upstairs part of restaurant was buffet style. Good pot of coffee + plenty of choice.

Everything! Location, character, staff were wonderful, the pub, the breakfast, the ambiance, the caliber of guests attracted.

Two things that would have made it perfect. 1. Not being able to pay cash in the pub. A cashless society is not what any of us needs, and if you don’t know why I suggest you research it. 2. The breakfast was good, though the fried eggs were terrible. I had just come from a hotel that served breakfast and it was beautiful. You provide excellent quality food though the buffet doesn’t do it justice. I would pay an extra £10 for a served breakfast, and I think it would speed people up too.

The town centre location was great for the town, but so for exploring further afield, S. Leics, N and E Northants, Rutland, all of which we did in our short stay, including Barnsdale Gardens, Kirby Hall, Rutland Water, Oakham Castle, Foxton Locks etc. Breakfast, although buffet was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms well cleaned. Large bath and shower over.

We had one evening meal in the bar rather than in the restaurant. Was OK, but not as good as the rest of our experience. Front bar was also quite small, so if you prefer to eat and drink in the bar suggest you ask if can reserve a table.

The breakfast was very good and the morning staff were on the ball. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was very nice and posh and with all that it was so nice just to walk out of the hotel straight into the high street and with our room out the back it was very relaxing away from the noise all the rooms number in the 80s we think are some of the best rooms to stay in.

I think you would have to have an early breakfast as the seating soon filled up and then you would have to wait in line or be seated down stairs, our room was great all round but i would have liked a softer pillow to me it was like putting your head on a rock but the bed was fine. The evening meal we had was very good but there could have been more to chose from.

Excellent location with free parking, right in the heart of the town. The bedroom was comfortable if a little cramped around the foot of the bed. Good quality teas, coffees and biscuits provided. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom. All in all it was a nice enough hotel.

It took us a while to figure out the shower, only after we had endured a couple of cool showers (also quite a cramped cubicle). We would have preferred a breakfast cooked to order rather than a buffet. The free parking is a bonus but it wasn’t immediately obvious where to park, and the receptionist forgot to give us a permit in our welcome pack so we had to go back to get one.

The location is absolutely central and the organisation and communication is excellent. Not only the timing of their communications - but how they are written, really nice, sincere wording, I really appreciated that. All the staff that worked there were cheerful and helpful and the breakfast (up the stairs from the bar) was very good too. Everything in my room as very clean and tidy with an excellent book on the history of the hotel itself - nice touch

This isn't a "didn't like" - as it wasn't an issue for me - but my room was 2 flights of quite tight, winding stairs up - so do check when you book. It meant my room was very quiet and the bed comfortable

Great location in the town centre. Very friendly staff. Lovely decor. Room was great and good facilities and additional attention to detail.

There was a fan in the room, but it was extremely hot if we didn’t keep it on all the time, which meant I didn’t sleep very well, but to be fair, we have had exceptionally hot weather and the building has just retained the heat. Church bells all through the night also kept me awake, but not the hotel’s fault. No vegetarian option on the menu, but staff were happy to offer a couple of alternative options for me. Would be good to have at least something to choose without having to ask.

From booking to check out everything went smoothly and as planned. I needed to make a special request for relatives to join me on Boxing Day morning and this was actioned without any fuss. Because of the hotels Christmas package and me only on standard B&B terms, I was kept informed by email of anything different that might affect my stay. Breakfast was really good - plenty of choice, hot and tasty and the restaurant team, even though under a bit of pressure due to the number of residents, managed to keep things running with a smile. The location for me was fab, as I was sharing a family Christmas in a relatives home which was a 10/15 min walk away.
