The Pytchley Inn

We stayed for two nights both of which we arrived extremely late. The staff were very accommodating to this and all staff were very polite and friendly throughout our stay. The room was beautiful,spotlessly clean and very comfortable, we slept very well. Breakfast was the best I think I’ve ever had, a fry up cooked perfectly. Car park was easy and safe,( we left two fold up chairs resting on the car and forgot to take them on our trip out, they were still there 16 hours later)! We didn’t get time to eat/drink in the bar but will be returning next year and will hopefully find time then. Many thanks for a lovely stay which added to our perfect weekend.

Beautiful quaint English village and a wonderful old hotel complete with the squeeky stairs. The room was large and bed comfortable, bathroom was a little tight. The other room, located near the carpark was also large with a large and roomy bathroom - my dad was very pleased! Fantastic breakfast ordered from menu. Small buffet with juice, bread & jam. Staff bent over backwards to help us. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious. It was Saturday evening so it was crowded and they messed up our order but they compensated us richly and everyone was pleasant and kind.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave our breakfast free as cab driver charged us £30.00 for a 4 minute drive to get our car after a wedding event was was just under 2 miles, which was really good of them. Bathroom nice and roomy. Having a ironing board & iron in room. Room spacious.

I didn't like the blankets on the bed, material was rough. Also floor a bit sloping and makes wardrobe door creek.

Location was perfect to where I was going. It was also great to get something to eat there and not have to go looking for somewhere. Being on my own I also felt safe being there and car parked right at the door was also very good.

Everything was perfect for me, there was nothing I didn’t like…. maybe only one thing, if your parking your car, don’t put it under one of the trees unless your happy with bird droppings 😂😂 Not something hotel can do about that though that’s the birds 😂

All staff we very effiecient and had good people skills, well done all. We had the steak deal for 2 people, the steak was perfectly cooked to order.

At breakfast, eggs seemed to be a bit of a problem, 1st morning scrambled came out tough and inedable, but after a short wait they produced a better lot, 2nd morning asked for poached eggs and got a horrified look from waitress/cook , she could not do them, so l took the fried option instead.

Wonderful English country hotel, very traditional, cozy, clean and VERY friendly. The staff in particular, from the bus boy to the waitress to the manager, were very good, attentive, honest and really left a great impression. Great breakfast service too. The pub in the evenings was really good fun and the staff did everything to make guest feel good, all while keeping strict to all Covid Measures, wearing their masks and keeping everything VERY clean. A good Hotel experience is created by the staff and The Pytchley Inn´s impressed on every level. I can only recommend them.

This might be a cultural difference thing, but I was really not impressed by the one of the "Chef specials" that I had one night. But it was handled with grace and a professional attitude and I cannot say better than that I left the restaurant completely satisfied.

Staff very friendly. Room clean, spacious and comfortable. Didn’t book breakfast, but the complimentary tea and coffee were very generous. Especially appreciated the cafetiere and sachet of ground coffee. Evening food was superb, although the menu wasn’t particularly adventurous. Room pleasantly decorated, main bed comfortable although smaller bed not so, bathroom spacious. Staff happily turned down music at night when we asked, as our room was above one of the dining rooms and the bass carried through the ceiling to our room.

My sister was troubled at night by a bright spotlight on a bay window roof which was just outside our bedroom window (was there to illuminate the name of the pub). It cycled through bright, gradually dimming to no light, then suddenly going bright again, with the result that she was subconsciously waiting for it to suddenly go bright again and it kept jolting her awake. Wasn’t helped by the fact that we had a mirror opposite our window, and the light from the spotlight reflected in the mirror, so she was affected by it whichever side she lay on. And a very minor point: not enough hangers in the wardrobe for two sets of clothes.

We had an excellent stay at the Pytchley Inn and it exceeded all our expectations. The team were really welcoming and friendly and we were quickly checked in and shown to our room. The rooms come with everything you need and more including tea, coffee and snacks, plus toiletries. The bed was really comfortable and the room was really spacious. Breakfast was delicious and even though we were a little late down to breakfast the staff were really accommodating and let us order what we wanted. We would definitely recommend The Pytchley inn for a comfortable stay that’s really good value for money!

Made very welcome on arrival. A character building that was warm everywhere on a cool day. We had a good night's sleep in a fabulous double room. The great asset here were the staff. Who were polite and attentive. Overall a very pleasant stay. The Inn was obviously popular, as although we didn't eat here (we went to a party in the next village) the dinning areas were very busy.

That we could only stay one night.

A good price for the quality of the accommodation and lead time between booking and date of stay. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast, and good location as we visited nearby points of interest in the countryside. Ample car parking too.

I struggle to think of any negatives about staying at The Pytchley Inn, it was superb.
