Auberge du Raisin

We had a very beautiful and spacious room, for a reasonable price. The location is beautiful. The young woman at the front desk (can't remember her name, but she is Italian/Romanian) was exceptionally friendly, warm, and helpful. She really made our stay wonderful and comfortable. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The Greek restaurant across the street, owned by the owner of Auberge du Raison, and opened by his sister Michele, was excellent, with delicious, creative, healthy Greek food.

It would have been nice to have breakfast at the hotel rather than having to go to a neighboring hotel, which served an adequate breakfast. There was no place to get a cup of coffee in the morning, without leaving the hotel. There was a tea kettle and tea bags in the room, but not coffee making things.

Bedrooms fantastic, we had 32 and 32, under the roof with wooden beams. huge bedroom, very comfy bed, sitting area and kettle with tea (no coffee). fridge and dyson fan in the room. large spacious bathroom, with shower gel and body lotion. Very quiet rooms, lift to 3rd floor. Restaurant closed on Sunday in the summer but we ate in the sister hotel, Major Davel, on the lake side terrace - also the breakfast happens here. Excellent hotel and very helpful staff. I had stayed here before and wanted to bring family, they fell in love with the hotel and village and said they wanted to go back too.

I loved that the hotel was so close to the lake. The room was spacious, and also had a wonderful tub that I took advantage of. The windows opened up and provided lovely views and a much needed breeze. Additionally, we loved sitting out on the terrace because it did not appear that anyone really was utilizing it. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were well appointed. Also, the staff was lovely and respectful, especially given that we didn't speak french, and they spoke wonderful English.

perhaps the windows could have screens so that during the summer bugs would not be an issue. I imagine during the summer it is also quite hot given that there does not appear to be A/C.

- the restaurant is great - the suite was spacious, bed was comfy and the interior design was beautiful - all very clean - the location is amazing

- for 20.- per person the breaktfast buffet was quite small - breakfast buffet was not filled up - cups, plates missing, days where there was no fresh bread, no fruits or no yogurts - the staff could be more attentive, we always had to find someone during breakfast to ask for tea and I would expect the buffet to be filled up when you see something is missing - parking spots were taken because there was an event especially when parking is being advertised for and you need to pay extra afterwards

lighting - poor design and dimly lit, especially in the bathroom. and shower set up is poor in design with spray nozzle. very narrow tub to stand in with collapsible shower door that leaked everywhere. it’s nearly impossible to wash hair or move around. and hotel restaurant is very overpriced with spotty service.

Absolutely loved staying at this gem of a small boutique hotel. For the service and attention to details, as well as the cuisine/dining benefits this hotel offers, it deserves 5 stars. From the charming hotel owner/ host, to the lovely receptionist Jessica et al., all waiters and staff make the stay at Auberge du Raisin homey and unforgettable. This is the type of hotel, you will always return to.

Very large suite room with beautiful views. Loved the charm of the old space and the traditional touches, while still feeling clean and modern.

The room was different then what we thought we had booked based on the images. Still a large suite, and it was great, but they might do well making sure all the rooms have images posted.

Super clean and spacious room, lovely comfy bed. Great to have a small air-conditioner for the day with 35 degrees. Thank you for turning it on before check-in!

I expected one large bed, not 2 single beds put together. I was not informed upon check-in on Saturday that the reception was to be closed Sundays, so check-out should be done at the neighbour hotel. It would be helpful if I know in advance.

Beautiful Hotel right on the lake in a lovely atmospheric town. Lots of people around enjoying the park and lake walking tracks. We should have had breakfast there - that looked good to us too.

Would have been nice to eat in the Hotel Restaurant. It was closed for New Years Day.

Beautiful, huge and clean room. Fantastic location near the station and the lake. Excellent price for the quality. I booked it because it was cheaper than most options in Lausanne and was amazed by how nice it was.

I had to go to a neighbouring hotel for the breakfast but that’s a minor problem.
