Asara Wine Estate & Hotel

location was amazing. the pool was a perfect temperature. the restaurant staff were amazing and the food very good.

The petite lady on reception made us feel like an inconvenience. not very welcoming and never asked anything about our stay on check out. generally not interested in the customers

Wonderful resort in great location with fantastic views over the mountains. Our room was very nice, the staff very friendly, quality of food and wine very good, in particular the dinner at Raphaels (fine dining restaurant) was excellent. Try the Red Asara Bordeaux "Tower Bell", what a great wine. On our last day we had a wonderful massage at the Spa. Would always come back and recommend this place to friends.

We were there the week before x-mas and the resort was very emty. Therefore breakfast buffet was not available but everything could be ordered. In the end a little less choice than on a normal buffet. At dinner, we were the last ones in the restaurant at 20.30 and also the bar was closing early. It would have been nice to sit outside in this great surrounding and enjoy the wonderful wine on a warm summer evening even after 21.30.

The hotel has exceptional views, very good breakfast, and excellent staff. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Loved walking around the hotel and dining here.

The access to the reception and rooms is via a flight of 10-odd stairs. It would be nice if they could make the hotel more accessible. There is a possibility of adding ramps to the reception and restaurant from the courtyard - a much needed requirement for guests with mobility problems.

Exceptional location, well maintained gardens

Whilst the rooms are spacious with beautiful a bathroom, I don’t believe the rooms can be classified as 5 star. Tacky stained pine concertina doors leading into the bathroom is not nice at all. Our tv did not work, we were told a technician would come out immediately, but this took a day and a half to sort out. Relaxing chairs on the balcony have very old bases, abs half your body falls through when sitting down …

Beautiful setting with wonderful 360 degree views. Modern and sophisticated has the atmosphere of a spa hotel. Lovely staff and amazing art work The breakfast was exceptional.

There was absolutely nothing to complain about however I feel a more informal Lunch menu could be offered to resident guests as the fine dining menus were wonderful but a little too much for both lunch and dinner as we were staying and had both.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, the grounds and area were stunning and all rooms built to offer the customers a view. The peace and tranquility were very welcome

The spa was currently out of service so we could not use it. The quality of the breakfast food could be somewhat better too

Beautiful place with great staff.

Dinner menu and lunch menu was not good. Had to go find restaurants in town. The menu last year was fantastic but now seems to cater to fancy food rather than enjoyable food. Options were limited.

View, location and room were fantastic.

Not to charge my account for lunch when I was not even on the estate. First night room was turn down for one person, while we were two. Second day room was not setup for sleeping that night. Small things is needed to have the attention of visitors.

Check in was fabulous. We were treated like royalty when we arrived. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a lovely big room overlooking the vineyard and the mountains in the backround. We had some lovely meals and wine here and enjoyed the overall ambience of the place.

It was quiet, Warm, Organised. I didn’t have to call and ask for anything everything was in the room. We managed to have our quiet time. It was also very close to the airport. Everyone made our stay easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was awesome especially the pizza, I really loved it.
