Parade Hotel

Everyday the breakfast was exceptional.Great location and not far from anything.

I was so disappointed by the receptionist. She was so unwelcoming . I had to figure out myself on how to get by around the hotel.i didn't even know what time was the breakfast, had to use my experience 😕. She was so rude when asked questions as she didn't want to answer. If you demand her to answer she was shouting at me and hiding her name badge. So to me, first impression lasts , so I'm never going back there again, such disappointment.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the location of the hotel is perfect, it's close to everything, overall experience was absolutely beautiful ❤️ and perfect 👌

I booked on booking.com and I always do. My partner and I checked in and everything was all good, our room was even beyond our expectations (Great View) 😊👌 However when we had to go for breakfast in the morning, the ladies at the breakfast area came with check list and "apparently" our room number 204 was only showing 1 guest? How? Cos when I booked online, it was for 2 guests & 1 room... So we had to pay R220 extra to cover breakfast for my partner for the 2days we were there for. I don't know whether there was a error from the system capturing my booking or what...I don't know but that didn't make sense to me why my room accommodated 2 pple but the breakfast only for 1? Still doesn't make sense...

Room was nice and big, clean and decent Staff was very accommodating during check out when we asked for our bags to be stored and get them when we ready to depart to the airport

We had cockroaches in our room, a lot of them

The breakfast was wow.

The fact that lifts were not working and cocroaches in the room was a total turn off

The big room with sea view... my God it was beautiful and super clean. Cleaning guaranteed. The cleaning and reception staff were sweet and kind.

The breakfast was horrible and cold.. unhygienic stuff going on there. The tables are not cleaned on time for other guests.. buffet not refilled on time. We had to wait for clean glasses and bowls I think they are understaffed in the kitchen. The caterers attitude was soo bad. It was like we were begging for food.

Reception staff & security officers were very welcoming effective and efficient staff. Overall facilities were Great.

The time waiting at the Queue to be served for breakfast took almost 45minutes before we could get to the food station. Kindly arrange a better way for guests to get food but the food was Great.

Parade has one of the best breakfast buffet a hotel can offer. The hours for the breakfast were well accommodating and the room where breakfast is served is big to accommodate at least 50 people at once which allows for ease of movement, going for seconds (especially on scones). The rooms are spacious and have all the necessary amenities. The proximity to the beach was outstanding as one could easily literally walk to the beach in 2 minutes. The bar on premises has a selected list of drinks but enough for one to have a good moment with a working AC and TV for sports.

The room we had may need a change of the shower head as it wasn't spreading the water evenly despite adjusting the settings. Perhaps the hotel can also look at changing some of the room ACs as the room we had it wasn't producing the coldness an AC at 18 degrees would. If you are driving to Durban, consider parking in front of the hotel (free parking space) than driving to the designated parking (5 minutes away) that you have to pay.

The breakfast was awesome loved it.

The fact that there was no dstv and windows you cant open would like an option next time to choose a room with view as we we're not given the option when booking.
