Amazing property. The room was spacious and bed extremely comfortable. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard. Claire is a great host friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was great with high quality ingredients used and made to order. The staff are helpful and friendly . Guests have the use of the ground floor completely as the host lives upstairs .

This is the second time that I have booked the Lavender Moon Guesthouse. This time, I had booked a two night stay as a birthday gift. Suite 1 (Shower only and pool facing) Claire was fantastic and went the extra mile to make the birthday memorable. Thank you so much for the extra special touches to the room. It was a beautiful surprise that was very much appreciated. Breakfast was scrumptious! Breakfast consisted of a wide variety of fruits, yogurts, toast and cereal. We requested an omelette and it was delicious! What more could you want!? The coffee machine is amazing and such a treat too. Unfortunately the weather was not that great, and could not make use of the pool. On the bright side, the best sleep was had as the bed was so so luxurious. The room was clean, modern and aesthetically pleasing. WiFi was excellent. Thank you to Claire and the wonderful staff! Hope to be back soon.

Thank you for the incredible, warm hospitality! Claire, Gavin and Siya really made our 1 night stay special. Thank you for the thoughtful birthday treats. You guys are rockstars! The home is tastefully decorated and aesthetically pleasing with a picturesque view of the ocean. You’re also welcome to help yourself to the most delightful cappuccinos! We really felt at home and enjoyed the peace and tranquillity. Suite 2 has a view of the pool, fantastic WiFi, a luxurious large bed, a shower and a bath. We were in awe of the rooms and they are just as the images advertised. Siya and Claire’s dad were welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the chat with Claire’s dad over a scrumptious breakfast. We would definitely love to come back for a longer stay and highly recommend Lavender Moon Guesthouse.

The rooms, dining and living room areas are comfortable. The view is great from the dining room. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast Siya cooked for me was very delicious. He is an asset on the property. There is plenty of parking for this size B&B. It’s secure. It’s a short drive to Gateway Mall, the beach and to the airport.

The floors were not cleaned in my room. Other than that everything was perfect.

I liked everything about the property, the friendly atmosphere, the service was top tier from the lovely owner to the friendly and amazing staff. Everything is well organised, the property is very neat and has stunning and breathtaking views. The way I loved staying there I didn’t want to leave 😩

The property was beautiful and in a fantastic location. The host, Claire, was really helpful and friendly and gave us some great recommendations. I definitely recommend walking the boardwalk and trying out some of the restaurants on Chartwell Drive. Another lovely place to go was the Oyster box which had a terrace overlooking the lighthouse. The cocktails and sushi are delicious there. The area felt really safe and walkable but it was also easy to get an Uber if needed.

The place is in a perfect location and I loved its beauty and good service. It was everything I imagined, comfortable bed with spotless linen. One of the best places in Durban 10/10

I give the bathroom 8/10 though it was clean the bathtub had hair inside and I couldn't use it.

Wonderful view towards seaside while eating a lovely breakfast. Calm and relaxing lounge Breakfast, you got scrambled eggs, omelette with some good vegetables, yoghurt with fresh fruits. Toast was also available.

Wonderful staff!,super comfy bed and bedding!beautiful see view from common lounge area! We went out the night for my husbands birthday! Claire and staff went out of their way to make it special for him! He was greeted with a very special birthday welcome.I won't spoil the surprise to say what it was 😘😉So very special! Thank you!
