Wyndham Residences Alvor Beach

Loved the cleanliness, location, staff, pool area. Great selection of food and drink, free provision of beach towels. Great hairdryer in room

Need to replenish items daily like coffee capsules. 5 nights there and coffee was never replaced. Tissues in bathroom never replaced. No iron in room but was available upon calling reception. Instructions for air con would be good, could not turn off unless we took key card out. Lack of storage space for clothes, very little hangers, no drawers

The location of this hotel is it's main advantage. It sits between a 5 min walk to the stunning beach and boardwalk and 10 mins into Alvor town. The lobby and pool refurbishment is stunning and the rooms have had a nice refresh. The staff were lovely and the cleaners very good.

We stayed here many times when it was the Luna Bay so know how The hotel previously looked. The finishes in the room refurbishment were poor which was a shame as the lobby was stunning. It still has the very slow lifts.

Staff throughout all hotel sections were pleasant & helpful if needed, Breakfast had so much to choose from, all delicious fresh products, the hotel was cleanest ever experienced, rooms were spacious & so well laid out & serviced every day, pool area so relaxing & great to be able to get towels & to be able to take to beach also, the bar staff were friendly & provided great service, Ana & boys at reception always helpful if needed. ,

The staff were all incredible - friendly and efficient, with big smiles on their faces. The pool area was lovely, nice pool, very relaxed, music playing at a good level (not too loud, very relaxing). They provided lovely large towels that you can use by the pool or take to the beach, which was a really nice touch. The whole place was spotless. Great location, just a couple of minutes from the beach and a short (maybe 10 minute) walk into town.

Very little not to like about it! Our toilet made a bit of a noise after it was flushed but not enough for us to report it, we actually started singing along with it!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has good variety, and several staff run a tight ship, making sure everything is clean and tidy. Great towel service and swimming pool, with toilets and showers outside, and even an outside gym area. Everything was very modern and new, they did a great job renovating. The bar was perfect for a refreshing cold drink or coffee. Location in Alvor is great as a hub to drive to different beaches in the Algarve (and much quieter than the center of Portimão). Property has a handy free parking area, and another huge free parking lot is available just across the street. We would definitely stay there again next time we go to the Algarve, as the cost-benefit comparing to other popular locations in the region is great, without the massive crowds.

Plumbing was a bit funny: very loud noises on the walls when our or the neighbours' toilets were flushed (sometimes in the middle of the night). On the day of our check-out, we noticed an extreme smell coming from the bathroom when we woke up - had to keep the door closed and struggled to go inside. As it only happened on the last day, it didn't detract from our overall impressions and would still stay there again. A small detail, but the swimming pool unfortunately closes at 8pm, and we would have loved an evening swim, after spending the day exploring the beaches.

Reception booked taxi ..was 65 on arriving at Faro on Wednesday evening but 85 e on departing hotel ...unsure why it was 20e more expensive 😟 We had no iron or hairdryer in room but contacted reception,both brought to room v quickly so not a negative..

The property was beautiful, we had a sea view studio. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed. The staff were exceptional nothing was too much. Food in the bar was so good. Location was perfect, right beside the beach and within a 10 minute walk of lovely Alvor

The only issue we had were the umbrellas around the pool, when it was windy, they would become dislodged, I witnessed a gentleman getting hurt by one. These need replacing

Rooms were modern, very clean and had great facilities. The rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily. The hotel staff were very very friendly. The location was amazing for the beach and not too far to walk into the town but far enough away from any noise. I would stay here again....definitely!

Nothing to dislike

An amazing stay, would definitely come back again. The staff - impeccable. The hotel was just renovated and while some details were being wrapped up, everything I experienced and saw was done to the point of excellence. Anything amiss and brought up to the staff would be addressed easefully. Enjoyed the treat of coffee and tea in the room and the spaciousness of the room itself! Amazing lighting, furniture, bed and bathroom. And so so close to the beach!

Location to the sea was perfect, we could hear it at night when we left the sliding door open(sea facing balcony) 5th Floor so the view was great. The kitchenette was handy as we didn't eat out every night, we walked a lot and we were too tired. The hotel restaurant did fabulous burgers and the staff are so helpful. They always said hello every time they met you.

Nothing. First time there and it the sea view room was worth it.
