Dusit Thani Residence Davao

We liked almost everything. The breakfast was good, delicious food in the Thai restaurant, the room was good, the staff was friendly, the pool area was very nice, and the massage was perfect (special thanks to Sheila!)

No balcony. From the photo it looks like there is a balcony, but actually it was just a decoration in this room. I asked for alternative room, but it was not available. The shower drain was very slow, so we had to take a very quick shower. I reported this problem to the front desk, but no impact. No hand towels in the room. The price level was a bit high compared to the Philippines standard. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay a lot!

the breakfast was awful. corned beef was not good as well as the congee. not worth at all paying extra for the breakfast

The room is good, the staff is good, the location is not the best, food is good

.Expensive prices compared to similar in USA although you are in the Philippines in a far city from the capital. On one buffet breakfast daily, the lady who check the room said I'm not listed to have breakfast and she will add it to the room although I did have breakfast every day and it is part of my package and the front desk said it is included. I smiled and said I have breakfast, she did let me in after I insist but said she will check with management. I wanted to call management because instead of apologizing she was still not convinced. That was my second day which is the 3rd of March 2023

* They have a policy against having durian fruit in the room. This is understandable as the fruit does have a particular smell that could linger in the room. However, they should have a proper, designated area where this fruit can be enjoyed, as this fruit after all is Davao's specialty. At the moment, you are only allowed to consume it in the parking lot where there is just a seat, and no table or anything. I think having a room where this fruit can be stored, and enjoyed by guests will improve immensely the experience of guests who want to enjoy everything Davao has to offer-- including the smelly durian fruit!

I waited for around 10 minutes when I was checking out. The wait is unnecessary since there were only 2 of us checking out at that time. There were 2 front desk staff but one of them was already entertaining the other hotel guest. The other one saw me already but proceeded to do somethings else. I had to call her attention. Prior to checking out, I phoned the front desk to prepare the bill so I expected that upon check out, everything will already be in order.

More than the place, the staffs are all amazing!! Karla and Jeff who assisted us the moment we set foot at Dusit. They were always the ones who helped us everytime we need taxi to go out. Guards were polite and always greeted us with a smile. One time i asked Karla if she could help me print a document at work, she took me to front desk and they all helped me there! Problem solved! Also, the doorwoman at the hotel even offered to take our family picture. She was super nice! The lifeguard in the pool was very polite too and always watching the pool area, we felt safe since i have a kid. And yeah how can I forget Jove at the Kids club! She is fantastic with kids! We love Dusit their staffs are all beyond great!

The food could be better. They have good breakfast tho, but i noticed in their menus when we had late lunch there weren't that much of variety you can choose from.

Very comfortable and clean studio with kitchen, great bed and bathroom, truly fantastic breakfast (best ever!), nice outdoor swimming pool, very friendly and helpful staff. Room rates are not cheap but the quality offered is accordingly!

No Netflix... Food à la carte is quite expensive but this could be expected in a luxury hotel like this. Small bottle of white or red wine (375ml) from the room's bar 600 pesos was very expensive in my opinion.

Proximity to the mall, secured location, breakfast is a top notch, nearby resto and the Gym is 24/7 ..

Maintenance.. complained to front desk about a water leak in our room (R1201A), i think from the aircon vent because its flooding our floor, thus i have to put on some used towel to avoid my kids from slipping. After coming back in the afternoon, its still not fixed , and again have to put on used towel to keep it dry atleast for a while.

I loved the design, the pool, the room and amenities.

location is not that good for sightseeing. but great for access to airport. I also didn’t like that even if I paid an additional fee for late check out (62% of the room rate), I was only allowed to stay 5 more hours in the room. at the very least, I should have been allowed to stay the proportionate number of hours that I paid for (equivalent to around 11 hours). instead I was required to leave the room 3 hours before my scheduled flight of 9:30 pm.

Nothing but good words for the staff💜 They are very accommodating and pleasant. The place itself is great. Clean, well-maintained, safe and accesible. There are alot of establishments around the Dusit. The ammenities are also commendable. We have most of the things that we need during our stay with our kids💜 Thank you Dusit Davao!
