Best Western Hotel Baars

The hotel is so well placed - we loved the town and the atmosphere. We arrived a bit late on our first night and the chef cooked us a meal even though the restaurant was closed. The staff were so helpful. Bar and restaurant were lovely. We would definitely return.

We had to pay extra for parking as the free parking was gone... it would have been nice if that was included in the price. Also we had a room with three single beds, but the third bed was very narrow - smaller than a single bed, which was a difficult fit for an adult.

We liked the new refurbished room. Big room with a nice bathroom. Everything was clean. The breakfast was good enough - not the best one, but good enough. The menu in the restaurang was good for a few days.

We had a room at the basement and people passed our windows chatting in the night. That’s the only complaint we can think of.

The location was superb, within a very short walk to the boulevard, park, Hortus, all restaurants, dolphinarium, museums etc. But at the same time in a quiet location not on the Market Square. Free parking next to hotel was great. Staff were very friendly, everything was perfectly clean, had a handy fridge in the room, breakfast in relaxed atmosphere and tasty.

The only negative thing was the lack of air-conditioning. The room was lovely but really warm. There was a fan provided which helped slightly but was noisy so we turned it off at night. Luckily we were on the third floor so could open the window at night to cool off a bit.

Very good location close to the little beach and only about 15 min walk to train station. Also really good to have a little fridge in the room. Very good choice of food at breakfast buffet.

A lovely 3 day stay & only negative is the room was just too hot both day & night, it had an electric fan provided but ideally really needs air conditioning throughout as apparently only a few rooms are available with air con.

Comfortable room, big, with slightly dated bathroom. Also big. Super location, in the centre of Harderwijk, near to the beach, bars and restaurants. Relatively quiet at night.

The hotel is next to a church so not super crowded at night. There were some people chatting under my window, guess it's a nice spot to hang out. Parking is easy but not super cheap.

Location, friendly staff & good food.

Location of the Hotel is great! City centre so easy to start your shopping or site seeing. We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel and was value for money and lovely food, helpful and friendly staff.

Breakfast was really nice, room was nice size and clean. Badroom was big, great shower and bathtub.

Bed was not good, hard and squeaky. But I heard from collegues that they liked their beds, so maybe mine was just an exception.

Lovely location right in the middle of the town, probably the most friendly staff I've ever come across in 15 years of working away from home. Parking was easy and the room was lovely.

Whilst I don't wish to fault this hotel with no A/C there was a fair bit of noise with window open but I guess this is the pay off for location!

Great Location, in the center of the city, near the boulevard.
