Hotel Mennorode

The hotel is situated among a beautiful and quiet forest.

It is a bit out of the track. The train reaches Nunspeet. From there you still need a taxi of 36 euro to reach the place. And taxi is usually not available unless you book in advance. In my case, I missed the train and could not give the exact time for taxi pickup. It is good for those who drive in with their own car. For those who catch a taxi from schipol airport to the hotel, the fare can be much more than a European air ticket.

It's a leisure hotel, located in the middle of a forest within a national park. Nice to walk around. Clean and nice overall. We stayed 1 night so I have no opinion the the leisure facilities. Breakfast was excellent. Free parking on the hotel's territory.

Location is a bit far from everything and only makes sens if you drive in by car. But there is nothing wrong in it, it's how it's supposed to be by design, just plan accordingly.

The bedrooms were modern and stylish but the bathroom in our room was very much in need of updating. Despite staying on quite a cool evening the room was very warm and the windows had limiters on them which prevented opening them more than a few centimetres so we had the fan running all night

The location is lovely - so secluded. Lots of walking trails and it's fairly flat, easy to walk to the closest town or further into the woodland. The food is exceptional.

My room (463) was good but the bathroom was very bare and had no window. It was functional but felt quite clinical. This is the wheelchair accessible/disability access room.

Being a solo traveler, with the intent of breaking away from the repetitive city life, the main reason I selected this hotel was for the isolation in the woods, to get the fresh air and views that Nature has to offer. Having said that, the hotel had all necessary facilities and recreation within its large perimeter. The breakfast was a buffet system, with good options and filling enough to energise one to go venturing out into the forest around the hotel. At dinner, the staff were very kind and separately enquired about my preferences, making the experience quite personal. The terrace outside the restaurant was a lovely place to pen down my thoughts in a journal, or to socialise with the other guests while having a few drinks. I enjoyed my stay at this location.

The location for hiking is really good and people were helpful in directing us to those locations. Service was great.

When we arrived we were told that we were upgraded to a premium room, which seemed exciting, but when we got to the room, it was what we had expected to originally get. There was nothing wrong with the room, but setting expectations for it as being premium was a bit disappointing.

Check in procedure, room location, room furniture and cleanliness, sleeping comfort, restaurant services... all of them were good. Breakfast was exceptional. Check out without any delay and issue.

A least a plastic bottle of water available in the room should be the standard for a four star hotel. Not everyone wants to drink tap water or leave the room late night in case they need to take pills as for instance.

It was a nice place to get away with my dog. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. It is the middle of the woods so it was secluded. Nice area for walks. Staff friendly and professional. Breakfast was nice. When I didn't have my room cleaned they left towels, toilet paper and coffee things on my door in a bag. That was appreciated.

Would have appreciated more variety on the dinner menu.

This hotel is a secret gem in the Netherlands. We could only arrive just before midnight yet they were happy to let us in. We could only see the hotel area to be such green and quiet. Wish we could have stayed a little longer.

Nothing much really. Cannot complain. Especially at this great rate.

Beautiful location in the forest, quiet, clean air. Restaurant had a grill evening with live music on saturday, a pleasent surprise. friendly staff

Only 2 chargers for electric vehicles. Some people remove their vehicle when charged or high % charge, but some people leave it for days blocking 50% of the spots.
