Fletcher Hotel Apeldoorn

The location is perfect for a family with children. The hotel is in the middle of Apenheul, Paleis het Loo and the Konining Julianatoren amusement park. There is also a very nice walk in the woods surrounding the Apenheul, all within 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Unfortunately the trainstation is a bit further, roughly 30 minutes walk, so i would recommend going around by bikes or car if you want to visit the city more. The hotel room was good size, wat really did it for me was the comfy bed and the bath tub... Never slept better haha. They also offered an electrical bike service but i didnt end up taking it, but just FYI.

Its a long walk to any shops, it seems more for people with cars. And the walls are paper thin, first nights i slept amazing, but last night one room had their alarm go off three times around 5am, someone else was shuffling on the carpet in the room above and it was so audible that i thought someone was in the room, then last couple left around 7am and i could hear everything from toilet break, bags being packed, doors being shut, to them walking down the stairs. Not sure if the newer part of the building has better soundproofing

The check in was easy and the lift very useful. The bar had a good selection of bottled beers and the restaurant was good for an early evening meal. The Cafeteria Charly near the Schapendoesweg Albert Heijn was handy too. Checkout was at the higher european standard of 11am. With Apenheul only a short walk away, the woodland setting and the spacing of the homes in the local area, all add to the quiet ambience here; there is also much to enjoy in passing the day with the animals in the summer. I wasn't expecting to see the birds that are very similar to Emu's there but they were very nice like all the primates and other animals.

I didn't find the fitness centre here though to be fair I didn't try to find it. It's also true that didn't have the time to visit Paleis Het Loo and the museum there (nor even the Palace of the grassy meadow...) - I'll just have to go there the next time I visit the apes and others in Apenheul.

The room was very basic, but clean and absolutely worth the money for a long weekend. The restaurant is well-decorated and the food was excellent. We could walk to the centre of Apeldoorn in about 15 minutes which was useful. There's a large, free car park at the hotel. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we're not big eaters in the morning (and 16 € per person per day seemd a lot) but there was a Spar shop not far from the hotel where we picked up a bite to eat before setting off each day. We thoroughly enjoyed the Ape-world and the Palais Het Loo which are both a very short drive away.

Our room wasn't cleaned on the first day, it seems you have to hang up the sign "Please clean room" for this to happen. Once we had this in mind, all went well!

The room is well organized, comfortable, and clean but not spacious which was not a problem. Breakfast is delicious with a variety of choices. The bed was comfortable and clean. The staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my son and I stay an enjoyable one. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Apeldoorn.

Nice spacious room, also in height! Bathroom looked refurbished recently. Had good shower, strong water connection. Restaurant was of good quality, and staff very good in understanding special requests in relation to allergy.

Room had air conditioning, central heating and floor heating. Couldn't find a way to control (lower) the floor heating though. Would have preferred slightly lower temperature, although my friend would disagree. Better to warm then to cold I guess though.

The single room was comfortable, sunny, bright and cozy with a classical furniture, huge window and a modern TV. You have free parking and it's really simple and trouble-free to get to the city's centrum or the famous Paleis Het Loo, although the palace is still undergoing renovation works and it's not fully open to be visited. Another point I should highlight is the fact that the hotel does not accept ordering food online (thuisbezorgd.nl), they, instead, prefer to offer their own menus and room service. So, basically, you can eat outside somewhere else and avoid any troubles.

Beds were super comfy, beautiful location and a lot to choose for breakfast.

There were some spiderwebs in the rooms, and the soap dispenser was broken. You could also hear talking from other rooms at night.

Car parking, clean, accommodating staff even if arriving late, comfortable and quiet.

In a lovely area but quite a journey through the residential streets of Apeldoorn. Watch out for tourist cyclists.

The hotel staff were very nice and fqst to answers requests. Location is great, vmose to everything in a quick bike ride and very quiet spot.

The cleaning could have been a little more deep. Mirror in the bathroom is quite high

I found this hotel quickly, beacuse I was needed room asap. Very good choice! Clean and nice room, very big and comfy bed, and what is the best-big, nice and tidy bathroom with all ( shampoo, towels ) actually everything looks great.
