Van der Valk Hotel Lelystad

Unexpectedly, this was one of my best stays in a hotel ever. The hotel is stylish, modern, extremely comfortable, and has amazing facilities (including a self-service 24h shop). The staff is friendly and professional. The views from the hotel are wonderful - especially from the bar on the 16th floor. Even the smell (perfume?) in the beautiful corridors is great. Also, breakfast was delicious. In short, I went there for 1 work-related night, but I will definitely return for a holiday stay!

Surely you have improved a lot since you opened, especially the customer reception, now the staff is kind, smiling and quick too. The only negative point, which is the third time it happens to me, is in the restaurant, I ask for the menu in English, and I am told that it is only available in Dutch, very strange but true..., in two weeks, I return and I hope to be able to read the menu in English, and not have to dine with an Entrecote as always, since that is the only word I understand on your menu. I hope I have been of help to you.

This hotel is a gem , modern very clean and the room I had was large , bathtub and great shower. The Spa area is fantastic, large indoor pool, sauna and steam room hot and the snow room was something different. You then have a very large, modern gym with all the equipment even Arnold would be happy . To top it off a very good bar on the 16th Floor and the restaurant was top class I will be coming back with my wife just for a leisure trip it is so good

Small niggle, could do with USB charging ports and a few more power sockets but that is it !

- You have to drive a while to get there. - The toilets are not in the bathroom :) It's a bit hard to get used to

The breakfast was good, selection especially. Some non glutein and non lactose food only, but kitchen provided me what I needed. Restaurant offered delicious food, cod was excellent, and also soup from Indonesia. Salmon tasted like a wild salmon.

In bathroom sink was located too high, for children it would not be possible to reach tap. In addition the light did not work, left side of the bed. It was on once and then suddenly it went off,

Modern, clean, comfortable hotel for business stay. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff.

Noisy airflow through the vent, that is irritating at nighttime. According to the controller it is OFF, but actually you can not turn it completely off. It is not possible to switch on only one lamp (for example the reading lamp), the switch controls all in the room. There is no easily accessable 230V socket next to the table - should be fine fine for charging laptops.

Mathe hotel offers spacious rooms even at a basic level, and all with large windows offering panoramic views around the area.

very little. it’s location is outside of Lelystad centre and if you want to reach there by public transport, buses are hourly with the stops being a little distant from the hotel itself.

The floating tank and the spa were amazing! The staff has been super kind professional and ready to help. The buffet breakfast came with tasty options for everyone and the supper service was fast and good.

I'd like knowing if the spa, wellness services, the floating tank, the restaurant and the sky bar are open for guests and if yes I'd like knowing if reservations are possible, thank you!

beautiful lobby with pleasant staff. Large rooms with nice details.

new smell of the rooms, might be worthwhile placing some nice perfumes o remove the smell altogether. breakfast staff seems to be wildly different to dinner staff in terms of hospitality and service.

This place was far beyond my expectation. I can't stop raving about it. It is all designed so thoughtfully. The staff were lovely. The room was luxurious and my dinner and breakfast was amazing - they do not serve a sad looking breakfast but a plentiful one with loads of options for drinks and food. Would 100% go back again.
