Holiday Inn Express - Almere, an IHG Hotel0

I had a great experience at the hotel, starting from check-in where the staff were friendly and had a good sense of humor, while still remaining professional. They always greeted us warmly whenever we entered or left. The room was well-equipped, meeting all the expectations of a mid-range hotel. One unique feature was that the TV had YouTube, which is not commonly found in hotels, even those with a 5-star rating. We also appreciated that the hotel was located in Almere, which allowed us to escape the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam in the evenings. I would like to note that Almere is a lovely area to explore.

There wasn't a lot that I didn't like. If I had to be picky, I'd say that the air conditioning wasn't very powerful and that it wasn't communicated well that there would be daily housekeeping. We were quite surprised to come back and see that our room had been cleaned without our knowledge or prior consent.

The stay was very comfortable! The hotel looks really nice, has good facilities, and the staff are overall friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed, and was clean and beautiful. The free breakfast was quite nice, and the dinner they serve is also quite tasty, for a fair price. The location is very convenient; next to Almere Buiten train station, so you can take the train to Almere Centre in an instant. Moreover, there are lots of stores within a 2-minute walk from the hotel. It isn't a cheap hotel, but it will likely suit all of your needs!

The waiter for dinner didn't seem that experienced, we didn't get plates for our starter meal, for example.

Really like the room amenities, and the interior is nice. The hotel staff was very polite and we’ve checked-in even earlier. Convenient location right next to the station. But there was no noise from station and we had really good sleep. Breakfast was tasty, including different cereals, eggs, I enjoyed mini pancakes and croissants the most - they were perfect. In general, it’s great place to stay because of the price too. But one minus is in transport, because one-way trip for 1 person to Amsterdam Central is 8.30€. (it’s not because of hotel)

The hotel was very central to a shopping center including a supermarket, bus station, train station, restaurants, bars and public library, all in seconds up to 5 minutes walking distance. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable, plus you can stream your phones to your TV making it easy to watch Netflix or any other apps of your choice.

I didn't like that there wasn't any ice machine available to guests on the property and I didn't like that the rooms didn't have a bathtub and mini fridge. Breakfast could also have a bit more of variaty in its choices.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious enough, clean and modern. Breakfast food is good and fresh. The bikes we rented were good quality. It is very convenient that the hotel is so close to the bus and train station. Prices were very reasonable for Netherlands. The lift in the hotel is very big and modern, which makes you feel safe.

We would like a fridge in the room and more space for clothing. Also the shower does not have a door, so after showering the whole bathroom is wet. Some days it was a bit loud outside the hotel, with people playing music and talking loudly.

Room service was not provided when requested for toothpaste. There was an inconvenience on the checkout date. I had requested for taxi to railway station on early morning, the receptionist informed the fare would be around 55 Euros, but the taxi driver came with a premium car and demanded 170 euros. Finally I had to cancel it by paying some amount to the driver and travel by public transport. I felt this could have been managed well.

Loved the location! Right near the train station, so it was very convenient for visiting other places, but still quiet in the room. The room was nicely decorated, the bathroom as well, everything was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good. There is a parking space right near the hotel, with very low prices and therefore, for anyone planning to visit crowded areas near-by, I would highly recommend to leave the car there and take the train.

We stayed with a 1 yr old baby and although we were provided with a baby bed, they put an adult pillow and blanket inside (which ok, you can just take out), but there was no sheet on the matress and we had to improvise … would have been nice to put a sheet on, especially as this is a baby, which is more sensitive than an adult.

The Personal were so friendly. Perfect location especially for those going to Amsterdam, just about 30 minutes with the train. We really liked the quietness in our room despite the fact that The hotel was in the heart of the City and close to the train Station

The fact that The toilet Was not separated from the Bad made taking a shower so difficult. The floor was filled with water after taking a shower. The couch bed Was not so comfortable for our Kids and was a little bit small for two Kids.

Exellent location near railway station. Nice availability of different shops and bars & restaurants. However these places will be closed relatively early so pay attention to the opening hours.

I could give excellent points for this hotel, but breakfast was little bit limited. Also restaurant on base level has only one food choice. If you like then you’ll be fine fine with that.

The staff were incredibly friendly and really professional. Our room was small but the extra bed was great for our son (and they got us a cot for our baby as well). Parking really cheap and close by. Train station across the street with great connections. Lots of food options and supermarkets nearby. Amazing breakfast. Very clean. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.
