Hotel de Watertoren

Very welcoming staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The room was very sensitive to the sound of others guests. It depends on the construction of the building, the old water tower. But one thing bothered us, lack of bathroom door. Hard to complain about it because we stayed there before, so we knew it, but even so it was very uncomfortable. .....but it is still worth recommending.

Everything. We stayed on level 8 (top level) and the big windows allowed for 180 deg views that were just spectacular. We had dinner in the courtyard on a warm night (echt gezellig) and a breakfast that had everything you might want. Across the road was a field of wildflowers that was so beautiful - it's a private garden but on certain days/times you can go and pick your own flowers. A great experience overall. Staff were wonderful. We highly recommend staying at this place

unique and interesting. beautiful room with some lovely touches. the diamond shaped windows and carefully constructed curtains were great. breakfast was delicious. staff were all lovely and helpful.

nothing but useful feedback might be that we were asked to lock the main door when we came in late. when you lock it, it’s locked from the outside but still opens from the inside. it would’ve been helpful to know this as it took us ages to work out that we had successfully locked the door! more coffee options at breakfast would have been nice but the food was thoughtfully prepared, fresh, generous and delicious.

Amazing quirky hotel, unusual blend of the old exterior and a surprisingly modern, industrial interior. Very large room and big deep diamond shaped bath, we loved it :-) Cumfy hed and wr slept really wrll, lighting was wonderful in the morning through the little diamond shaped windows, we were lucky to have a high room too. Close to the lovely Biesbosch national park nature reserve as well. We arrived in town by the waterbus from kinderdijk which was great and the town centre is lovely too

Shame it was next to a busy main road but the rooms looked the opposhte way towards open fields and you couldnt hear traffic noise at all through the concrete so it's not really a problem

Staf was very helpful and friendly. Asked for a bathmat being unstable and they delivered. Excellent.

Holding rail above the bath was loose. Asked to fix it but next day had my shower with still a loose rail. Would be nice if there was a house phone in the room so in emergency you can reach the staf instead going downstairs yourself..

The staff made this a wonderful place to stay. All of the staff we encountered were just the best. For example, we brought our 6-year old (a very picky eater), and they were so accommodating in helping us find something for him to eat. The hotel is also very clean.

The bathroom/shower was a bit challenging for tall people. It had an unusual step up into tub/shower that made it especially difficult for my tall husband to use.

Beautiful place and an interesting industrial style building. The food was exceptional, good quality of the base products.

It was a negative point that everything in the hotel was written in Dutch. Maybe just for me it is uncomfortable, but the bathroom is open space with the rest of the room.

We had the room on the 8 th floor with panoramic views. It was quiet and self contained and superbly appointed. It has a gorgeous, enormous bathtub and a comfy bed. It was like living in the clouds. The family-run restaurant downstairs was excellent, both the dinner and breakfast were exceptional.The (family) staff were all friendly and charming. We’ll be back!

De Watertoren was a great and iconic place to stay. Tom and Lisa were really friendly, the restaurant and bar were great, and of course the rooms (with a view :D) were unique. The location is also really good if you want to explore both Dordrect and the nearby Biesbosch area. There is a frequent and easy bus service into Dordrecht which means no hassle with the car.

Oh my goodness! What a treat this hotel is! The location is beautiful with plenty to do (cycle/ walk) in the area. The rooms are just so quirky! I loved it! Everything from the service to the experience of staying in a tower was exceptional. The food at the restaurant is fantastic, both the dinner and breakfast. I will be staying again for sure!
