Postillion Hotel Dordrecht

The staff were friendly and helpful. I got an upgrade of room, which was fantastic. The rooms were large enough and tidy. The shower was brilliant. The restaurant food was great. Thanks to the chef for those yummy melons, I really appreciate him going the extra mile serving those fruits.

The only negative was that someone smoked next door, and the person smoked the whole night. For this reason, we couldn't really enjoy our sleep as we ought to. The smell of the smoke was so strong that it penetrated into our bedroom. I did report it to the receptionist Anna her name was, and she promised to take care of the situation. I would have loved to have rated it a 10 but due to the unpleasant smell of smoke in our bedroom I rated it a 9 :)

Our room was the suite option. Comes with AC controls, a coffee makers, mini fridge (empty) and two rooms with TV's. Our view of McDonalds from the room wasn't great, but at least we knew where to get food until midnight! Never got a chance to try the breakfast.

Some of the younger staff were a little complacent, but still most were friendly. Could use some more trees in the car park for shade, huge open car park in the summer with no shade, poor car was boiling under the sun. Really hard to find many faults with this location.

Fantastic hotel with plenty of space in the room. The free wifi was pretty good as well. The "living space" was also great, I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed, it was probably the best sofa bed I've ever slept on!

There were no small meal options on the restaurant menu. I understand that the venue is targetted towards professionals, but a few options for a childs meal would have been greatly appreciated.

The suite was very comfortable. Good bed, comfy bathroom, nice sitting area. It would be prudent to improve the chair at the desk to something more comfortable than the naked plastic, but of course that's a matter of preference.

The refrigerator was out of order and was not fixed during the 5 days of stay, even though it was reported twice to the reception.

Lovely hotel. Near busy roads but we were not disturbed by this. Quite a way out of Dortrecht itself so we did not go into the centre. (We were travelling by bicycle). Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was very good and an excellent choice for breakfast, including catering for my gluten free requirements. Would highly recommend.

Modern hotel with all needed comforts: quick, free WLAN, working areas, water bar, spacious and modern room, desk in the room, very friendly staff, and a nice bar to relax in the evening. Very quick access to high way, but also close to the picturesque town Dordrecht.

One side of our box spring bed squeaked loudly, this was a bit annoying. And one bedside lamp did not work 100%, but overall a very nice stay :-)

The room was very spacious and had a nice bathroom. I t was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The room was very quiet and relaxing. The staff were exceptionally nice and very helpful.

The coffee machine had a mind of its own. The air dryer was intermittent, maybe a loose connection with on/off switch. Key card didn’t always work.

I have stayed here 2 separate times. I must say the lighting in the hotel and room atmosphere are so cozy and i definitely loved the beds . The confort room was a better match for me than the basic room. The second time i came i wrote i specifically want a quieter room with a nicer view since first time it was a bit nosy and i definitely got what i wanted.

It's at the current price level excellent value for money. A good standard room, nothing to dislike, nothing extraordinary.

Postillion sent me, via booking.com, about 8 emails after booking the room, 4 of which tried to talk me into upgrading the room (which of course I considered already when booking) and then quite a few in an almost awkwardly familiar tone ("oh wat zijn we blij dat we jou binnenkort mogen leren kennen"), providing no specific extra info. I am glad not every hotel I book finds it necessary to send me a flurry of mails. If I need something, I will ask for it, OK? :)

A lovely hotel with an excellent room. It was large, very clean and comfortable with an amazing shower. Great breakfast. Good facilities for bikes and outside area for the bar.

It was further out of town than I expected but it was easy to cycle in to the lovely location. I would still choose this hotel because it is excellent value.
