Hotel Dordrecht

This is a lovely old hotel, close to one of the many stretches of water in the city. The hotel was built about 1900, and is architecturally attractive. Our room, on the top floor of the main building, was spacious and very well-equipped. An extensive continental breakfast is served in the ground floor dining room. There is a bar, though we didn't use it. The hotel is a 20-minute walk from Dordrecht station. The old city is very close. Altogether this was an excellent place to stay, and we shall certainly return when we visit Dordrecht again.

There is no lift. This didn't bother us, but for some travellers this might be a disadvantage.

Many very quiet rooms, with little to no traffic noise. Window can be opened, which is great for people who like fresh air rather than constant air-conditioning. Parking provided on site. Night guard who keeps watch while we sleep.

I have been going to this hotel for many years. The breakfast has become less than it used to be. In a room on the top floor, under the roof, it was difficult to get the temperature comfortably low on very hot days, even with a portable air-conditioning unit.

The room we booked had excellent views over the river. Very old hotel but full of character. Car parking at rear of hotel for free. Very good breakfast. Plenty of choice. Dordrecht is a beautiful place to spend a few days. This hotel is in a great place to explore from. Would very happily stay again.

The Hotel preserves its historic charm and character whilst offering modern facilities. Good quality modern shower. Room meticulously and fully serviced every day. Nice touches like comb, tooth brush, razor in sealed packages in the event that guests had forgotten them. Good breakfast Free private car park

Bedroom chairs rather uncomfortable and lighting very dim

An attractive period house and even though we were in the annexe, it was a comfortable room with well stocked minibar and coffee/tea. The breakfast was great with cooked eggs and bacon as well as cold meats, cheese, fruit and cereal.

There was no liquid soap in the shower or sink dispensers and when mentioned, the receptionist provided a small bar of soap which wasn't ideal.

There is NO elevator. That is the only negative, particularly when staying a significant Number of days and the luggage is NOT small. I understand that the building is under a preservation edict but, I think an exterior elevator is possible with proper design. Otherwise, I recommend first floor rooms.

The bedroom was nice. I was in the separate building in the back. The tv didn't work, however. I liked that there was free parking for hotel guests. That's a plus. Also, it's in a great area, just a hop across the water to old city.

I wished the tv worked, and the shower in room was sub-par. Everything else was great though.

Great location. Fabulous historic hotel in a very nice old town. Very handy having a free car park behind the hotel - especially with our work van!

Simple family run hotel with clean rooms, nice garden and breakfast included. IN an old building not to for away from the stations and close to the city centre

Beds were'nt really queensize
