Great little family-run boutique hotel beside the Ega River in the small town of Cardano. Plenty of free parking directly outside with additional parking 50m down the road. Two historic150 yr old buildings sympathtically modernized. Really comfortable king size bed with 2 separate duvets, huge modern bathroom, 2 lovely bathrobes, spacious private, outdoor terrace with several seating areas. Good wifi, good air conditioning, good TV. Great restaurant for dinner and super advice from Moritz, the sommelier and son of the owner. Great breakfast, lots of choices. Outdoor pool, lovely outdoor seating area, outdoor covered dining area. Fantastic hotel!

The location is close to Bolzano, so we can stay here for taking a rest before returning the rental car to Bolzano. The room is new and clean. Good breakfast good service. The best of our dinners on this trip in a steakhouse of Eggentaler, is highly recommended.

no elevator for the 3rd floor of our room, narrow stairs but all good. The swimming pool is too small and allows other guests to smoke their cigarettes, badly smell.

The restaurant is definitely worth every penny. We are still talking about our dinner. It was very delicious. We had T-bone steak, it was one of the best ones we have eaten. The design of the whole hotel and restaurant is also very modern but still cosy. When we are driving through Südtirol we will stop here. Very dog friendly! To the staff - Thank you for everything!

The bed was a bit hard for us. Otherwise I can not find anything to complain about.

The location was great and the hotel is lovely, especially the outdoor pool and hot tub. The room was spotless and I liked the fact there were 2 bathrobes to use around the pool area.

The only disappointment was the fact we stayed on a Monday evening when the restaurant was closed, as well as the bar. We’d seen excellent reviews about the restaurant and would have loved to have tried it.

The restaurant was excellent, yet pricey. Our upgraded room was very nice and so were the pool, sauna and jacuzzi.

We were originally put in a "standard" room which was so small we were tripping over our suitcases. Had to pay extra and upgrade because we were very uncomfortable. There should have been more toiletries - conditioner etc.,

Wonderful hotel! Located in 10minutes-by-bus from Bolzano. The room looked very nice and bigger than we expected. From the terrace there is beautiful mountains view. Nearby there is a creek and you can hear it all the time - decide yourself if it's good or bad for you, for us it was quite relaxing. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is a classic buffet with good food quality. We got a dinner at their restaurant once and the food was very delicious.

Don't try to open the windows in the evening - your room will be full of mosquitos XD. Also not related to the hotel, but if you're going to use public transport to get to the hotel from Bolzano - take care of the tickets before. Drivers don't sell tickets and ticket machines in the buses accept only coins.

The place is fantastic. It is located in a very located area next to a river that you can hear any time. Very relaxing. When you enter to the hotel you are welcome with a fantstic orquid smell. The ambience is great as it is modern, elegant and fresh. Our room was quite great as the space was ideal and we even have two terrazas with different views. Breakfast was also very vast and good quality. They have options glutenfree which is not an easy thing to find.

Rooms new, well designed, and equipped. It is very clean in a quiet location into nature. Nice and high-quality breakfast.

It seems there is a restaurant running also a hotel, instead of a hotel that has also a restaurant. In other words, they focus more on restaurant instead of hotel needs to serve guests.

Very nice mix of tradition and modern comfort even if our room was in a separate building across the backyard. Enjoyed the excellent Michelin star restaurant that is part of the accommodation. Parking conveniently located in front of the room. Friendly staff.

Somewhat off-the-beaten-path location so requires a car to access. Breakfast was good but not at the level of the regional traditions which are beyond excellent. Unfortunately we also waited very long for our meals in the evening so service we experienced was not up to the standard.

We loved everything about Eggentaler. It was a peaceful location, the swimming pool and saunas was a nice treat after spending the day hiking and the restaurant was also really lovely. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we would love to return to this hotel again
