Lakeside Manor Hotel

The Hotel was in a wonderful location, with lovely views of the lake. The bedroom was fairly spacious and the king size bed was one of the most comfortable that we’ve ever slept in. We shared a scrumptious Porterhouse steak and the portion was plentiful. The tasty Irish breakfast set us up for the day. Finally the staff could not have been more helpful and made for a truly memorable stay. 

We were quoted 10 euros for a taxi to Virginia Park Lodge (1.83 miles away). However a local taxi driver tried to charge us €20 each way, so just be aware.

Location (side of Loch), amazing view. Bar & restaurant, buzzing, great food, top barman kept everyone entertained. Staff very friendly & attentive.

Some noisy lads in the neighbouring room. Unfortunately the room had an adjoining door, and I was kept up most of the night, despite my complaints. The staff called me the next day to apologise, and said to call next time I am in area so they can compensate me. This was very kind as it was not their fault.

Beautiful surroundings with the view of the lake. Massive breakfast (way too much food) the most helpful & friendly staff. Very accommodating. We were attending a concert near by & wished to drop bags early. When we arrived they took our bags, give us room keys for our late return & had our bags waiting in our room. Excellent customer service. Great value for money, will definitely visit again .

Nothing I didn't like.

Location fabulous. Staff helpful and friendly. Bed was large and comfortable, and room had a small balcony looking over the lake. Breakfast was cooked to order and fast, and coffee refilled quickly

A comfy chair by the window would have been great. Fresh fruit would have been nice for breakfast. Not given a choice of brown toast and had to search for marmalade but the cooked food was excellent.

The view of the lake was lovely. There is ample parking that’s well lite. The staff are all lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was ample and tasty. The coffee was really good! Comfy bed and the shower had hot water.

The room could do with some TLC. Everywhere looks like it needs a good paint. But it didn’t detract from our stay, it’s just an observation.

The crowning Glory of this Hotel is the staff, absolutely customer orientated, nothing too much trouble all done with a smile and a thank you, My thanks to all the staff from the receptionists to the chef, cleaners, bar staff for making me and my partner very welcome.

Would like to have seen the reception area a bit brighter in the evening to allow me to read, but the roaring fire made up for that. The fact that twice I was told that they had run out of Gordons' gin reflects the amount drunk.

Staff were very helpful friendly and efficient the Hotel is located in a scenic area with great views of Lough Ramor Hotel is close to Town and facilities checking in was fast and easy we were allocated the Room we were expecting

No Telephone system in Rooms or internal communication system to reception area, if you needed anything at Reception you needed to walk back and forth from Room to Recepfion Desk, no Room Service facility, no drinking water available in Rooms, no Mini Fridge in Rooms, air conditioning/heating system is noisy, and needs to be knocked off at bedtime, Dining/Breakfast area is located in the Bar Area, perhaps a proper designated Dining Room should be considered away from the Bar area, overall this is a nice location the Room furniture and beds are of a good spec, a bit of upgrading modernisation is needed.

The hotel was situated by a lake which was a lovely view when downstairs ,the staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome ,food was great ,,the place was nice and clean ,would stay there again and recommend this hotel .

Walk in shower would of been great stepping in and out of bath for shower very hard when having a disability ,

Super friendly staff great suggestion for local waking running area that was safe and beautiful. Meal in the restaurant was lovely and the lady who took our order was a real asset to the hotel.

The decor was dated and the furniture was too busy. The phone in the room made ringing noises ever 45 minutes thoughout the night.

The breakfast was excellent and had the right amount of choices for those who want the full Irish or those who want other options

You might like to look at the exit onto the main road which is quite busy and the large concrete fixture with the Lakeside sign blocks the view of the driver from seeing both ways
