The property is in a great position just on the edge of town. Near to the station and a ten minute walk into the centre. Kennedy’s bar, opposite the railway station offers great food and drinks and is well worth visiting. The Hallway, lounge and dining room downstairs in the property are beautifully furnished and a real feast for the eyes. Breakfast was well made and tasty, though I was disappointed not to have wheaten bread with my Irish breakfast. My single room was a good size, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. Leaving the bathroom door ajar allowed good cross ventilation between the windows in the bedroom and the bathroom, considering the hot weather we had this helped me to sleep.

The bedroom does not reflect the rooms downstairs in any way. It was very plain and had a dressing table with the mirror missing. The laminate floor crackled as you walked on it and the bathroom looked very worn and in need of rejuvenating. That said, it was perfectly functional and didn’t worry me too much. I like to give an honest review but don’t really want to sound critical as I would be very happy to return here. This is my third visit so far.

We stayed here last year and came back. It offers comfortable accommodation just up the road from Dundalk railway station, across the road from the cheapest petrol station in the area and an easy walk to the centre of town. In spite of being on a fairly busy road, it is set back enough to be very quiet. A substantial Edwardian three story semi, with many original features and sympathetically decorated. Very comfortable and the cooked breakfast dishes are excellent.

The shower unit in our room was not quite Edwardian, but in shower unit terms, pretty antique. It made a lot of noise, but not so much heat! My partner forgot that there are no hair dryers in the rooms, you have to ask to borrow one, not so good when you are just out the shower!

the room, breakfast and bed were very comfortable. the view into the garden was very nice.

the bathroom window had no hanle on it so had to stretch to close it. when i arrived back from a wedding there was only 1 parking space left. i had to park alongside a big van and under a tree. the following morning when we were leaving after breakfast i had to drive down to the port to catch a ferry. i found my car covered in a lot of moss from the tree as it had been raining overnight. my car was covered including the front and back windscreens. this made and awful mess when i switched my wipers on. it was hard to drive as this made my windscreens very dirty and obscure.

We loved this property because the attention to every detail was unique. It should be a 5 star stay as that is what it felt like and you received. The breakfast was the best I have ever had in a B&B, it was definitely 5star quality you was spoiled for choice. The staff was lovely, helpful & friendly.

Would love to have a evening meal there as the food was so lovely.

The hospitality of the host, cleanliness of the place and its proximity to the train station and city centre. The owner was very welcoming and so were the lovely staffs. When we were going down for breakfast in the morning we saw the owner when we were coming downstairs and he actually did remember my name! It shows he's very passionate about what he does, to him its not just a business but passion. To be able to remember individual guests by their names speaks volume about the host, that's very respectful. Will highly recommend this place without a second thought.

There's nothing not to like about Innisfree B&B.

If you like period English drama and old Victorian homes this is the place for you. A beautiful old mansion style home with all the old world style appointments and fittings that recall an earlier age of style and comfort. The bed is a large four poster canopy and very comfortable, the room a huge square with plenty of space, antique furniture, and large windows that open easily. It's also convenient to the train station - the best way to get to and from Dundalk - and a short pleasant walk to the village. The breakfast is plentiful and the staff are exceptional.

There isn't a lot to do in Dundalk but I stayed an extra day just in case.

I arrived early, but got a warm welcome. Charger in my car was not working, so needed to charge my phone for a few minutes. So I was allowed to do that. The room was clean and beautiful. The bed was so comfy. I had asked for gluten free toast, it was not a problem. Great breakfast. I was very satisfied.

There was no reason for me to complain. I have nothing I didn't like.

Beautiful place. Exceptional staff. Comfortable room. Fairly well located for walking into downtown Dundalk. Convenient petrol station store across the street.

I really have no negatives aside from what some may find is tricky access to parking in the somewhat small front lot. Depending on who's staying, it could be an issue to find parking.

The house itself is lovely, old world plenty of ornaments and silverware. The room is comfortable and the breakfast staff were attentive and pleasant. The breakfast was lovely very tasty and good range together with fruit, yogurt, cereals and juices and the cooked breakfast was delicious

When we checked in we were greeted by Guita (apologies if I misspelled) well actually received rather than greeted. When I said we had a reservation she simply looked at me and after a few moment she said come in, I thought there had been a mistake in my booking as she didnt seem to be expecting anyone! I felt I was inconveniencing her a bit and her welcoming manner could certainly be improved

A fabulous experience, the house is just amazing with Victorian, Edwardian and possibly Georgian furniture and antiques. The room and ambience was fabulous and an excellent breakfast. We certainly will return. It is close to 50 years since I was in Dundalk, it is a truly beautiful place. Thank you for the experience.
