I have stayed here now 3 times on two separate trips to Ireland, and love this hotel! The staff have been really nice and super helpful, recommending local eateries and entertainment and helping me with requests. The rooms are spacious, well kept and lots of storage. Stunning views, especially if you get ones overlooking the Boyne River!

Up until this last time, I had nothing to put on this list, but my last stay the ONLY thing I found not to my liking was that when I opened the curtains there was bird poop ALL over the windows... I don't know what could be done to prevent that, aside from having some sort of an automatic window cleaner or something. I know it wasn't the HOTEL's fault, but it did affect my enjoyment of my stay, because I wanted to look out my window and the otherwise stunning view, but it was difficult through the bird doodoo.

The view of the Boyne River at night from my window, with the lights over the bridges is absolutely stunning! I also love within the rooms themselves how they are laid out and so comfortable. Lots of storage in big wardrobes and the bathrooms are sleek and spacious, and separate from the bed area in most of the rooms I’ve stayed (I’ve been here a few times now , it’s my go-to hotel after landing in Dublin and hiring a car to get there. It’s a quiet town at night, unless of course you’re there on a weekend when The Hops Bar is entertaining, but in both cases it’s just delightful! You also have Scotch Hall shopping center DIRECTLY beside you with a LOT of stores, including Dunnes where you can get groceries and things you forgot or chose not to bring with you. There’s also an outdoor car park and I believe there’s an indoor one as well (but entrance is on a separate street & I believe is just for the shopping center but you can confirm that with the ladies at the checkin counter, who are always really friendly and helpful!

The only thing I didn’t like the last time, which isn’t the hotel’s fault themselves was that the last room I stayed in, the windows were covered in sea gull poop, because they are always flying around there, with the river being right beside you and the coast a few minutes drive down the road. I opened my window and it was quite unsightly, and hard to enjoy the stunning view of the river overlooking the car park side of the hotel. I don’t know what could be done to improve this, cause it would be an entire day job trying to keep them cleaned, any inventors here who could think of something?

Partner and i stayed there for 3 nights, staff was very nice and accomodating, room was lovely and very clean on arrival. Bathroom was also super nice.

Bar of soap was not very edible and had a terrible taste, also gets stuck in your teeth after consuming. 0/10 Would not recommend. Maybe a mint scented bar of soap would go a long way.

Good value for money. Evening meal in Goodwins was really tasty well cooked pub food and breakfast was more than adequate with excellent service.

Hops bar on a Sunday evening was, to put it mildly, packed, lively and very loud. Nevertheless the staff were excellent and there was no problem getting a drink despite the busyness. The vast majority of the cliental were thoroughly enjoying themselves and the whole atmosphere was very friendly. Maybe just a bit too loud for us older people,

When we arrived they had little gift bags for the kids, the girl on reception (from the Philippines) was so kind, and had good knowledge of the area...shout out to Muhammad in the bar,he went above and beyond

Would have liked a reading lamp, the lamp in the room was quiet dim and overhead lights to bright when putting kids to bed

Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, comfortable & clean The bed was comfortable & clean.

The breakfast was poor. It was over cooked and unappealing. The hot food section was in a corner so only 2 people at the time had access. We will stay again but we will not order breakfast. We had an evening meal in the restaurant. The quality of the food was good. However it was poorly organised. Staff were not assigned to table sections and seemed inexperienced. So at times there was no one and then other times, there were 4 available. However the restaurant staff were friendly.

Sensational! Close to shopping - literally next door - the hotel actually connected TO Scotch Hall (shopping centre) and directly overlooked the river and city views were spectacular day and night! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the lobby was wonderfully decorated for Christmas! The parking lot was quite large and was very easy to find parking - only €10/ night, which I thought was very reasonable! Will be my number 1 choice from now on!

Nothing. There quite honestly is nothing to report!

We stayed in D hotel for one night as we were going to a concert in Dublin so actually spent very little time in the hotel. Rooms very big. Partial view of the river Boyne. Spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed. Loads of storage space. Very clean. 10 minutes walk from train station. Shopping centre adjacent to hotel. Good bar food.

Room furniture possibly in need of refurbishment, desk in room very scratched on the surface but would not put me off staying here again as the hotel rates were great value for money compared to the exorbitant prices currently being charged by hotels. Bedroom carpet looked new.

Excellent location, room was quite large. Staff were friendly and the hotel was very lively.

It took a very long time to check in, not sure why. Also the room had some sort of European sockets beside the beds, not ideal when you need to charge your devices. Don't understand why they didn't have appropriate sockets beside the bed. Across the room beside the TV there was a double socket that we could use but for 3 adults charging it was not ideal.
