Clarion Inn Willow River

Breakfast was wonderful, room was very clean, staff was very accommodating. The grounds were very well taken care of and the pools were clean. My family loved the lazy river. Location is close to pigeon forge/gatlinburg but also quiet enough to stay out of all the tourist stuff and traffic. We had an amazing vacation! We would definitely stay there again.

The only issue we had was with another family (kids not respecting us asking them not to do certain things to our young kids/parents not caring that their kids did it anyways) but that was only one day. We also had a concern that people who were not staying at the hotel were swimming in the outdoor pool (people showing up in bathing suits pulling pool stuff from their cars) but that isn't the hotels fault.

Breakfast was fine. Loved the fact they have a hot breakfast and service the room daily. We travel quite a bit and most places are still using Covid as an excuse to not offer breakfast and service rooms. We really appreciated this especially considering we have young kids with us at all times.

We loved the breakfast buffet, the location, they have two pools (one is 24/7) and it’s very laid back but over the top at the same time. Very well cleaned and tidy.

Our fireplace never worked but the day we got there. When we called to the lobby their exact words “oh my god, we don’t have anyone on property right now and I can leave a note but there is nothing I can do” Me- “the pilot is out and you can smell gas. Don’t you think if we leave this on someone will get hurt” Front desk- “no! I deal with this all the time. That’s not gas that your smelling. It’s just broken. All I can do is leave a note for them tomorrow!” My husband took all the “logs” out to find the nozzle to turn the gas off. Thankfully, he did!

The best, the most welcoming place we have stayed in all the times we've been to the area. Clean, friendly atmosphere, beauty, we will never stay anywhere else as long as they have an opening. Breakfast was good also.

We were able to get a very nice room at an affordable price and were thankful for the breakfast which was included.

Would’ve been nice if the pool was open later in the evening due to the hot weather & to have gluten-free bread options for breakfast.

The room was absolutely fantastic. It felt like a small apartment, it was so spacious. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of food. We loved the two tv's, the jacuzzi tub, the king size bed, the balcony, living room setting, the indoor and outdoor pools were clean and wonderful. The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Note, the elevator is in the back of the hotel, so we had to walk up the stairs to get to our room because it was closer.

The toilet paper was not two ply. The coffee in the room did not supply enough sugar/creamer for my liking.

The place was comfortable and close but not to close to the attractions. The front staff may seem unfriendly at first sight but when approached they are quite friendly. The breakfast was good although it was repetitive. Room was spacious and clean for the most part. Room cleaning was done daily which is nice considering some have stopped since covid.

Parking was kinda tight, breakfast was repetitive wish they would switch out certain items every other day or so. The housekeeping personal were not very friendly (serious faces) the comforter was stained they hid it by placing a sheet over it but I discovered it when I needed to use the sheet for the sofa bed. The sofa bed fleece cover was disgusting therefore I replaced with one of the sheets.

Hotel is clean, a relatively quiet location, breakfast was better than other similar priced hotels. Everything was functional including elevator, pool, hot tub, ice machines, laundry facilities etc. which was nice and shows property owner and staff are taking care of business. We stayed here before and will likely again.

Didn't like the attempt to upcharge us for our room at check-in for an available river view even though such a room was requested when reservation was made and no price difference was seen ( that I recall). Hotel had emailed that room request was accepted but not guaranteed. Front desk staff resolved this quickly; thank you. In the room, the balcony was very dirty and seemed neglected, however, friendly staff replied quickly to our request to please clean it so we could enjoy it.

The room. Best room we have had since before Covid began. Fireplace, jet tub, sitting area. Housekeeping was a dream. Fresh fluffy towels, more soaps, and clean trash cans every single day. Solidly good breakfast every day. 24 hour indoor pool and hot tub. Lazy river. Seriously. How about real coffee mugs in your room??? Like you are human.

Oddly bad quality soaps and shampoos, but really, who cares? And the fabulous couch in the sitting area was 6 inches too short. It was crazy hard to get off of and I am only 5 feet tall. Again, we were rarely sitting on the couch, or even in the room.

I loved the room setup, & the fact that they had bath mats in the bathrooms was great. The option for indoor & outdoor pools & the times they were available was great as well. We really enjoyed the Breakfast! Also coffee & cider were a nice touch. Coffee at breakfast & on the bar during the day was very good!!

The outdoor seating areas & balconies were full of webs & spiders. It would’ve been nice to sit on the balcony or downstairs on the bench’s outside but they were so buggy. Just to sweep them off would’ve been nice.
