Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus OSU

The breakfast was very good. Many places in the USA do not provide English Breakfast Tea and cold milk and real sugar. These are essential daily items for English people. Tea can be ruined with half and half and creamer, so well done! The actual selection at breakfast was good and served all tastes. The reception staff were very cheerful and helpful. In particular Merry took custody of something I had a friend drop off and looked after it until I arrived.

It is a bit confusing having two Marriot hotel entrances to two different places that share facilities. It is not obvious which entrance is which on arrival. It is a minor point - but when you arrive tired, you just want to check in. Perhaps highlighting on the booking that there are two entrances which are different hotels but both called Marriot would help.

The location was great! Seemed like a very safe area. Surrounds by other well known hotels and a Bob Evans within walking distance. The property is very clean and well maintained. The lobby was nice with plenty of room for parking directly in front of hotel to make check in easy. Room was very clean. Nice kitchen with bar seating for two. Nice big desk with a window view. Swivel tv is convenient so you can watch from anywhere in the room. Comfy bed. Roomy bathroom was very clean with a nice bright white shower and I really like that the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were attached to the shower wall so no fumbling around with bar soap. Ironing board and iron in the closet. Great bar area and the fish tacos were good as well as the Northern Light cocktail made with elderflower liqueur. 10 minutes from Easton Mall which is one of the best indoor/outdoor malls I’ve ever seen. Also about 10 minutes from Ohio State University which is a beautiful campus. The indoor pool was tiny but I did see a family making use of it. There was a small fenced in basketball court in the parking lot which was surprising but there were bigger kids playing on it both days I was there. Great two night stay! Would definitely stay again.

Nothing I didn’t like about the property. Only minor detail is there was no creamer in my room and I was too lazy to go get more from the lobby the morning I checked out but the coffee was actually good served black!

Very nice, clean, spacious. Was allowed to check in early and was so appreciative. In the morning the breakfast staff, especially the more refined lady with glasses was such a pleasure. Very kind, attentive, and didn't mind my grandson following her around asking questions 😀

Never had the chance to use or see the restaurant or pool. Hopefully the reception lady will be more inviting, she wasn't a very happy person.

Lots of room and amenities of home.

The hallways were super cold to the point of uncomfortable. The room temperature was good but fluctuated throughout the night between too hot to too cold. I think the thermostat is motion sensing so shuts off when no movement detected but then we would wake up sweating!

Very large and comfortable suite. The kitchen was well equipped, modern, and very clean. The bathroom was large and had a very nice shower. The bed was very comfy. The desk area was large and made working from the room a joy. Overall it was a great place to stay at. The laundry room was modern and clean.

They had 2 of 3 exits to the street closed off, this caused connection in the parking lot, and at the check-in area.

Selection limited. Lukewarm servings, breakfast got cold. Coffee and food were very good tasting.

Room service to change sheets had to be requested 3 times….Customer Service had to do it at 10:00 at night and were not happy about it!

The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean and charming

Our room was not the cleanest, the refrigerator was not working and a light was out in the bathroom. The staff never came up to inquire about these things.

Exceptionally good value, clean, comfortable, with very friendly and helpful staff. We loved our stay there and were sad to leave! Free and plentiful parking. Next time when we visit OSU will stay there again for sure -- looking forward to it.

We stayed just one night at this hotel while in Columbus but would definitely return. The young woman at the reception desk was very nice and the women tending to the breakfast area were extremely sweet.

This stay was phenomenal! It was very relaxing after having a horrible experience at a hotel across the street. We instantly felt at home. The room was super clean. The decorated space was amazing! We never wanted to leave the room and ended up having most meals in bed! 😊

Absolutely nothing!
