Construction near the entrance was no problem and we never heard a sound. Comfy beds, good pillows, very good breakfast. Lemon water in the lobby was very much appreciated! At breakfast, I mentioned softly to my friend that I wished for bacon rather than the two different sausage types offered. The lovely woman attending the buffet quietly said she could have bacon ready for me in minutes—no problem. What a surprise, and So kind!

I enjoyed the beautiful and modern furnishings in this hotel! This was my third stay there. The hotel is always kept clean and smells nice. The beds and pillows are very comfy. There is no noisy AC/heater under the window like in many hotels. The heat is quiet and comes through a vent high on the wall. It is controlled by a modern thermostat in the room. The tv in the room was about a 50 inch with many stations to choose from. The staff are friendly, caring and professional. The manager went out of his way to help move my things to a different room after I leaned the fridge wasn't yet cold in my room right after check-in. The breakfast buffet always had a plentiful and delicious assortment of food (scrambled eggs, omelets, sausage, French toast, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, apples, milk, juice, coffee lemon water). The breakfast buffet area was well stocked and always kept clean. Food was fresh. I enjoyed the swimming pool and exercise room. I loved the lake view from my room and the patio in the back with plenty of furniture, lights and a fire pit. I also enjoyed walking on the trail next to the lake.

The breakfast buffet did not have a waffle maker. Hotel does not have a Jacuzzi.

Wonderful hotel, very well taken care of and now my favorite in Ankeny!!! Friendly and helpful staff, comfy beds, large tv and room, clean hotel, nice pool and fitness equipment, good variety and well stocked breakfast area, modern computers available for guest use, dining area with view of lake, quiet rooms, safe area with free parking, restaurants stores and freeway nearby.

Clothes dryer was broken all week, but staff was working on getting it fixed. Key to my room stopped working 30 min. before check out when I was trying to load my car. Took it to front desk and staff tried to fix it. Staff said it was turned back on, but still didn't work. Could not get back into outside door and had to walk to front. No waffle maker and no whirlpool was available.

The breakfast! Prepared fruit would have been lovely! Bananas should have been offered. The only juice offered was orange juice and it didn't taste that good/fresh. There were two pots of coffee that I believe were the same....both with caffeine and I find the Arabic coffee to be rather bitter/sharp flavored. It would have been great to have a choice of juices, at least a choice of regular and decaffeinated coffee, a choice of regular or decaffeinated (herbal) tea, and cocoa. When checking out the staff kindly informed me that cocoa packets are available at front desk. Why not have them available in the breakfast area?

Lots of choices for hot or cold breakfast to eat in the dining area or back in your room. Healthy options of scrambled eggs, plain oatmeal, low sugar cereal, low sugar yogurt and fresh fruit. Cozy, comfortable, private visiting areas in lobby. Wished the pool was bigger for doing laps and/or wish there was a hot tub or sauna. Nice sidewalks in adjacent industrial park for daily walks.

Was a bit pricey at $314 (total) for 3 nights in Ankeny, Iowa especially when there's no daily cleaning, taking out trash, refreshing towels, etc. Not that we needed any of that but it just seems that we pay more for less.

The facility was excellent, quiet, and clean. The woman at the front desk in the morning when we left was very friendly. Property is easy to get to. Would definitely stay again.

Front desk clerk when we arrived was neither friendly nor helpful. Couldn’t find him most of the time. Other staff were on the hotel computers. Tv in room didn’t work. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

Conveniently located, comfortable and well-appointed room, nice breakfast.

Little league tournaments were going on, and not all parents pay attention to what their kids are doing late at night. There were a handful of them running in the hallway and banging on doors. This was not the fault of the staff. Aside from that, everything was fine.

Easy to find. Scenic property. Quiet, cool rooms, roll in shower. Comfortable bed. Indoor pool.

Breakfast wasn’t offered after 9am and was not free. Pool was too warm on hot days. It was more like a hot tub. Good for aches and pains, but not for cooling off.

One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on anywhere-not just at hotels. I requested a view of the pond and a top floor room it was a really great view. Extremely clean, friendly staff. Just a really top notch experience for a reasonable price.

Breakfast was sort of lame. Stale pastries, watery eggs and out of coffee. Maybe would have been better if I’d gone down earlier.

I didn’t LIKE. Booking.com- terrible terrible- I tried for 1 hour to change a reservation- got a computer that said I did not have a reservation. Because I could not change the reservation- I had to pay for an extra room $210!!!!!!! Hotel could not change the reservation! Third party bookings should not be used!!!! Quote from The Manager at this hotel!!! Very upset!
