Short walk to the beach, restaurants or if you wants to eat in, there is a full kitchen in your room with grocery shopping close by.

The room suited us perfect. We had a kitchen to cook food by ourselves. It is close to the beach. Only 25 feet from parking spot to door. The electroninc door-lock is covinient. The owner, Sam, is extremely helpful and always ask us if we need new linen, towels or cleaning. We also borrowed some chairs and one umbrella for the beach for free. We stayed for two weeks but it could definitely be longer and we will likely return some day There seems to be a lot of regular guests and there was a friendly and familiar atmosphere at the location.

We would appreciate one shelf and some more hooks in the bathroom

My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pelican by the Sea Motel in Pompano Beach, and I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful our experience was. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the motel's manager, Sam. Sam went above and beyond to make our stay special. He generously lent us beach chairs and an umbrella, allowing us to fully enjoy the beautiful beach, which is just a short walk away from the motel. Throughout our stay, we had engaging conversations with him, and he made us feel like a part of the family. It's no surprise that many of the guests are return visitors who have developed a strong connection with Sam. The property itself was impeccably maintained, boasting a relaxing pool area Our room was equipped with a kitchenette, where we meals, which we enjoyed poolside. The overall ambiance of the motel was low key, relaxing, and peaceful – everything we could have hoped for in a beachside getaway. One of the most striking aspects of our visit was the sense of community among the guests. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming, creating an atmosphere that truly felt like a home away from home. By the end of our stay, we felt as though we had not only enjoyed a fantastic vacation but had also made a new friend in Sam. We found a true hidden gem, and we cannot wait to visit again!

there was nothing we DIDNT LOVE ❤️ about this property! It was SPOTLESS , bright, comfy beds & Ralph Lauren pillows Coffey maker, anything and everything you wanted, or needed! if it wasn't in the room Sam (who was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!) would make sure we had it!

We travel a lot and Sam was by far the best host we have ever had. He is on duty if you need him and always happy to do whatever it takes to make sure your trip is perfect. He can suggest places to eat, etc. The rooms are updated and The Pelican is less than 3 minutes to walk to the beach. Only 12 minutes to walk to a variety of places to have lunch, dinner, etc. We plan on staying here again the next time we are in Pompano Beach.

Good location walking distance to the beach, restaurants and Pompano pier. Sam, the host, is an excellent proprietor - very friendly and attentive. The pool area has a barbecue, chairs, chaise loungers, and a comfortable shaded area. The rooms are well-appointed and we had a pleasant stay.

Sam has done a good job at refurbishing the rooms with attractive tile flooring and other updates and improvements. I’m hoping there might also be more colourful curtains and new curtain rods the next time we visit.

Place was very clean and newly renovated. Bed was the most comfortable that I have been in. Location was 1block from the beach and only 2-3 blocks from the main beach and pier. Very safe location. Management is some of the friendliest people I met and Sam the desk clerk will go out of his way to accommodate you and make you feel welcome and comfortable. Kitchen stocked if you want to cook. Plenty of free parking. Free WiFi that works.

Tv stand was a little high.

1st off Sam the owner was a great host. You could not ask for a nicer guy. The room was great. Everything you need. Queen bed, fridge, microwave, stove, etc. Clean room, nice pool. This will be my go to place in Pompano Beach. Go stay at Pelican By The Sea! You will love it. Beach is only 5 minute walk, tons of food places. This hotel is a diamond in the ruff! Thank you Sam!

There was nothing I didn't like about this place.

Our host was great at getting in touch with us for check in, giving us advice on where to get dinner and some of the hot spots near by. This is a recently renovated old style Florida Motel. Lots of little extras that would make an extended stay really great, like full kitchen, good coffee!, clever closet and a large room with nice size table. It was an easy walk to the public beach and cute little area of restaurants and stores that are near the pier. The whole area is really cute and sidewalks have recently been maintained so wonderful to stroll along. Prices at local places was very reasonable especially given your ocean view. The area was quiet at night, so made for a good night's sleep. Would recommend to anyone wanting to experience the easy going side of South Florida.

That I only booked one night :) . Next time we will stay longer.

The property is very nice with some very good renovations and upgrades. It’s very conveniently located close to the beach and several good restaurants all within a 5-10 minute walk. The best thing about the property however is the owner Sam. He’s very hands on, friendly and has lots of great recommendations.
