The hotel reception is very well decorated. Free coffee and hot chocolate is offered just beside the reception. This is a much better coffee machine than the standard ones usually found directly in the bedrooms of other hotels, giving you more choice and no limits on the number of drinks you may want. Also, the rooms are very spacious and clean and the staff is great.

A minor issue common to many hotels I have seen in the US applies to this one also: for a room that accommodates 4 people, there are only three bath towels ready. This is easily corrected by asking an additional one at the reception, which you might have to ask again after room service has replaced towels.

Glendale Lodge was extremely accommodating to our arrival time which was close to midnight and was very thorough and friendly during our check-in. Check out was even easier. Everything in the room was very clean, fresh and well stocked for a hotel. Although there was not cleaning service on the weekend days that we were there, there was enough in the room to ensure that we did not need it. There is a dedicated parking lot for the hotel that has a locked gate at night, which felt very secure. The location was about 10 minutes driving from the Rose Bowl and another 10 minutes from Union Station which is where we were trying to situate between, so the location was perfect for us. That being said, you do need a car to get around to most places from this location. But you truly cannot beat the value.

i picked this Hotel because of the price and it was close to where my son lives. I visited him for three days. The hotel is in an old building. Apparently its been converted from other uses. It is not a five star hotel, but everything works and is very clean, wif-fi and cable TV were excellent, the people at the front desk were very nice and helpful. It was also very quiet. I had no complaints. I will stay there again. There is no breakfast as with many competitors, so I’m going with 4 stars, instead of 5.

We drove from Colorado to tour college campuses from San Diego to San Francisco. Our trip was on a budget, in order to fit in as much as possible, and everywhere in LA takes at least 30 minutes so the location of this hotel was perfect! You are just off the interstate but you DON’T hear any of the noise! Ralph’s grocery store was 5min away and a Walmart was about 10min away. It is very inexpensive but yet you get a microwave, larger than average fridge, indoor access to your room and secured parking. The parking does cost $10 a night but that’s cheap compared to literally everywhere in LA. So, if you want a room that is quaint, inexpensive and uncontested by the crazy that is LA, give this place a shot!

Coffee machine was great 👍 Room was very clean and spacious. Walking distance to food and shops. 24/7 reception.

Shower device did not work properly as water would still come out of other shower and faucet outlets, resulting in very little water pressure. Also, why have a microwave without any cutlery or plates/bowls?

The big shower and private jacuzzi bath were good. The free coffee machine and flavoured water in reception is great too. Quite close to Universal.

The room was a little dated. The aircon unit is under the curtain which blew the curtain up when on. The room is quite humid because of the spa bath of course, there are extractor fans but theyre old and noisy.

Room was very clean. It definitely has more toiletries than other places I’ve stayed. Typically they’ll have very small stuff for one person, but the size of the shampoos /conditioners were pretty big! All staff was very friendly and attentive. Location wasn’t too bad, very close to a Wells Fargo and a grocery store(Walking distance). The only reason I say not too bad is because the view from my hotel room wasn’t all that great. To sum it up, I slept so good. It was good and cheap

Decoration is a little antique looking. Not as modern as hotels from around where I live. I think the decorating gives you a little bit of a motel vibe instead. However, not a problem big enough to ruin your stay here (:

We mainly chose this hotel because of its amazing location. The area is very safe and the hotel has private parking. Concerning the room - it was very simple, quite clean, but the bed was too small, in our opinion. Overall, I would recommend this hotel :)

The staff was friendly and courteous. The location was nice because very near eateries and a grocery. The room was very nice to have a microwave and frigidaire, clean and bed comfortable. Nice parking space.

The only thing that I did not like was the bathroom. The bathroom was newly renovated too maybe, clean and beautiful but when showering water leaks out and creates a pool of water outside the bathtub.
