plenty of parking, rooms clean, friendly staff.

the noise from the road was awful, even with the windows closed you could hear the thundering lorries on the main road all night. the bedside tables were so far away from the bed you have to get out of bed to get anything from it. you don’t get told about the extra £25 charge on top- last time they charged me this it took weeks to get it back.

Friendly staff, clean rooms & comfy bed. Fans in every room was good and needed as upstairs was very warm. Good shower.

Breakfast was bit disappointing. Lots of food and staff were very friendly constantly refilling buffet but the cooked food was a bit tasteless, greasy bacon, watery mushrooms and cheap sausages. Tinned/ frozen strawberries were awful just soggy. Good supply of cereals, pastries & preserves.

Family room, good size for couple on extended stay. Had a small problem with plumbing in room, spoke to reception and was offered an alternative room straight away, no questions asked. Staff even offered to help us pack our belongings and move them for us. Great service Location fantastic for travelers, its 2 minutes away from the main A14 junction giving good access to major travel routes, plenty of parking, and a sainsburys superstore within a few hundred yards in case you forget something for your stay

Nothing really negative here, had stayed several times and find the hotel good value for money at the price charged

Good clean hotel. Staff were helpful but rather over stretched in reception when I arrived. Good clean en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower over. Room was comfortable and clean, and well equipped. I was contacted promptly, to tell me that I had left something in the room.

Room lighting was abysmal, especially if you wish to read or work. No elevators, and the ground floor have 4 stairs to navigate. Very few power sockets at a convenient height - not sufficient for the modern age. Check in at reception was delayed. A party of 10 people arrived just before me, and there was only one person on duty, and one self check in machine, which guests needed help with.

check-in was made easy by a very helpful lady on the desk who assisted us in using the check-in machine. Room and bathroom were very clean and lovely.. Bed was comfy. Nice breakfast with good choice of options.

Couldn't get the hot water working. Realised there's no phone in the room to ring down to reception. Reported this to reception when we went to breakfast. They told us it's a known issue with some rooms due to renovations underway. The solution is to run the bath and sink hot taps simultaneously to get hot water. Would be useful to have a card with instructions in the affected bathrooms as we had to leave straight after breakfast so missed out on a shower... Didnt like the coffee at breakfast, too weak sorry!

Comfortable beds, good size rooms. Staff accommodated change of room to allow for mobility difficulties given no lift in hotel. Friendly & helpful staff. Location ideal for our needs. Nice to have opening windows & fresh air in rooms not air con. Good signage, v helpful as rooms layout somewhat confusing!

Limited gf options on menu, serving staff cheerful & friendly but needed prompts for items requested. No lighting over desk / dressing table in room, bedside light in one room didn't work. No lift, rooms available on ground floor (some down 4 small steps with handrail) but need to specify need at booking.

It was lovely and warm in every area, the beds were comfortable & there was everything you could want in the bedroom

The breakfast was not replenished , both days we only had a tiny breakfast because the cooked food was so poor, it let down the hotel really as everything else was good. I also didn't understand why we had to pay £25 when we had paid in full in advance, we understand that this will be put back into our account , but thought it was unfair as we had paid for both nights & breakfast, the receptionist was a bit abrupt on check in whereas the restaurant staff were lovely.

Plenty of room for a group of 38, good parking and clean room.

Breakfast not included, poor front of house greeting, self check in, staff not helpful / interested / or properly managed. Unfortunately we decided to eat in the area called a restaurant, 1 main showed up after 50 minutes and the second after asking several times took 1 hour 30 minutes, a microwaved dish of slop, this was refused and the money was refunded.

Cosy room , reasonably quiet considering its proximity to the road , love the conservatory for nice quiet drinks , food was good (on this occasion)

Didn't like zip and clip bed ( if you've booked a double expect a proper double bed , that ridge in the middle can be uncomfortable , staff in general ok and chatty but some are a little expressionless , decor in rooms could do with a little updating showers looking tired , plus radiator in room didn't work ??

Location, near to my family for visiting. Near to a supermarket incase we needed it as we had a very young baby and a toddler with us.

Cost of breakfast, all self service so personal touch. Lighting in room was strange, no main light. One by the door as you go in, one for the bathroom and the bedside lights, my grandson had to do his colouring sat on the floor by the door. No mirror on the dressing table, the mirror was on the wall by the bathroom and main door. Had to dry my hair blindly as no socket by the mirror.
