Starling Hotel Lausanne

I had a conference at the Swiss technology convention center and the location was just perfect as was 10 mins walk. I had a very silent room, the bathroom was super fancy, I loved the shower water power and also the provided products. I had also lake view. The man at the reception was extremely nice and helpful (and also handsome!)

The water was going a little out of the shower area and then the floors didn’t dry in the night. Also I had difficulties understanding how to turn off the super cold air conditioning. There was a fantastic choice of pillows but I love very high pillows so my favorite type was missing unfortunately

The staff was very friendly and explained with pacience everything we need it. We were surprised that besides the free shuttle bus from the hotel to Lausanne, we also had free public transportation in the city. It was very clean and we had a big room. I also liked that in the halls of the hotel you have chairs and tables so when tbe kids felt asleep we could comfortably talk in front of the room.

I personally prefer a closed bathroom, here the sink and the bathtub were open and the shower and toilette had a glass opaque door, but it is a very personal opinion. Don't try to move the big chair in the room, I tried that and it was very heavy and by mistake I put it on one of my toes and had a ugly cut, but this was badluck for me.

Nice modern room. Reception people were great. The hotel is not particular, rather the standard comfort and amenities in its category and a correct value for money. The location is great if you have some business at the EPFL. Convenient shared bike station just in front, bus and metro stops nearby. We didn’t tried the breakfast.

The desk in the room is tiny is you have to do some real work.

Very nice rooms which were clean, well decorated, and comfortable. I was pleased with my room and the facilities offered.

The kitchen staff was overworked and there was limited availability in the evening for dinner as a result. Management should be able to predict how busy the restaurant will be based upon occupancy and plan accordingly.

The view from the room was beautiful. The room was confortable. The breakfast had offerings for every taste. Nothing fancy, but a good solid breakfast. The best is you get an transportation card, so you can travel with the public transportation all around Lausanne.

The TV is mounted lateral to the bed, so it's not very confortable to watch a film. The scrambled eggs are scary, they were a solid block of eggmass. You only could guess that this must be the scrambled eggs.

I liked the freshness of this hotel, modern look of the hotel and calm hood with a good access to Lausanne. Very good lamb for dinner ;-) Hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from EPFL.

I have no idea what is wrong with ALL hotels in Lausanne, but in each & every of them the chairs in the rooms are just dirty... Lots of stains and marks from previous usage. Guys, get your cleaning staff to look at it at least from time to time or just replace it with the leather piece. It was disgusting and I couldn't use it although it looked very comfortable.

The room was spacious, very clean, and very comfortable. It looks modern and innovative. The food is excellent! I had lunch and dinner there, and it was delicious. The location is perfect if you visit the EPFL since it is within walking distance.

The shuttle service to the train station was not available for my departure

Very big rooms on Swiss standards, very clean and near the EPFL campus.

A little bit disconnected from public transports, probably need a car to really enjoy a care free experience.

The hotel is very modern and excellently designed, very comfortable. The location is practical for visitors of the universities.

Some technological elements (e.g. shading blinds and the air conditioning system) were so innovative that we had to learn how to use them.

I had asked for a nice room because we were celebrating my husband's birthday and we had a room on the top floor with a beautiful view and I guess it was even an upgrade. Thank you very much for this!

We did not appreciate that much that the bathroom had only sliding doors that did not really block the noise. This meant that using the toillet during the night risked waking up the other person.
