Beds were comfortable, good choice for breakfast although the organisation of same rather chaotic. A signposted one way system might help. Staff friendly and helpful. Location near station was excellent and it was just a short walk to the delightful old town. Plenty of eating out options in the street below and the nearby square.

Despite the request for a quiet room we were above a street with cafes. Fortunately it wasn't too bad on a Sunday evening, except for the occasional motorbike. The bathroom and bedroom were clean but when we made our departure check under the bed we found a plastic bottle and pair of socks left by previous occupants. Generally I think we expected something more like an old fashioned hotel but it was perfectly fine for a one night stop over.

A very well located and clean boutique-like hotel. Nice funky feel and the staff were tremendous. Room was small but well appointed. Did not upgrade to the street side so view was of another building as expected. Bed was comfortable although another pillow would have been appreciated. I missed breakfast but the lady in the kitchen took pity on me and let me scrape up the remaining food - scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cuts, cheese and bread/croissant. Cappuccino machine was available. Because I left early the second night, I was too early for breakfast but the excellent front desk staff let me have a cappuccino and packed me a box of croissants and fruit. Overall a very good boutique hotel with excellent staff in the middle of the action.

A lovely hotel in a great location. Large room, which was very comfortable and well featured. Lobby and bar areas were very stylish and well maintained. Only 5 mins from the station and all of the old town within 20 minutes walk. The staff were helpful and took the time to mark key things to see on a map, which was much appreciated as we only had half and afternoon and evening. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Only minor quibble is the room lighting was a little dim. Some extra lighting would make it even better. But this is only a very small issue. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very near the station especially if you use the escalator exit which passes under the large square with all the tram lines. It emerges at the end of the road which the hotel is in. It is well positioned for exploring the city. The hotel is welcoming and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a buffet and cooked items available. The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. They don't serve meals other than breakfast but have a pleasant bar which was a nice place to end up the day. It is near many restaurants. We found many restaurants were fully booked so try to book ahead if you can.

The location was perfect just a couple of meters away from the train station so it was very convenient. The room was ok, nothing too extraordinary but to be honest it was a little below to the NH Hotel standards. The gym was amazing very complete, although for me it was weird that they didn't have a treadmill.

The cleanliness of the room was not okay it did not meet with our expectations. The room size was okay but the bathroom was really tiny not comparable to the size of the room which we thought it was weird. As expected the variety of the breakfast was not wide.

This is a modern hotel very conveniently situated a short walk from the station and within easy reach of everything in the centre of Bern. The staff could not have been more helpful. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean, the beds were really comfortable and the shower was powerful. There was a good breakfast buffet and the hotel is very close to a multiplicity of restaurants.

It seems to be a trend in modern hotels to not provide any main overhead lighting and this was certainly the case here. Slightly brighter and with firmer pillows would have been lovely - but overall an excellent hotel.

I had many accommodations in many countries and it is very rare that I give a hotel 10 points. Of course nothing is perfect but many criteria were very good so that this hotel deserves the maximum points. My room was cleaned every day, the staff was very friendly. There is no judge for the breakfast because I did not order. As of the new year I was surprised of the champagne. That was a very nice gesture. From my point I would like to come again.

Perfect location...just a hop,skip and jump from the main Bern bahnhof. The old town is walking distance and lots of lovely cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff is welcoming and helpful. There's a lovely restaurant and bar on the ground floor of the hotel. The room was really spacious and had a nice balcony. Everything you need is provided in the room. Wifi is really good. The hotel provided a travel card for local transportation so that was helpful. There's a grocery store right next door. There's a lift so no need to lug your luggage upstairs.

The bathroom is small. But quite sufficient for a short stay.

I was there for two weeks. Breakfast daily was very good for the location. Great food and mixtures of items were a great touch. If you like to work out and experience a Swiss sauna and steam room, front desk will privide a free pass daily to access the gym just around the corner from hotel. Very nice amenities for the hotel guests. Also you can rent a bicycle for free to just cruise around town. Great way to experience the area. Very nice way to look around and stop for a beer or two. Bar staff is very professional and curtious. I recommend this hotel to all my friends and colleagues. Have a nice time.

The Bristol is a short walk from the train station on a quiet street. We only stayed for only one night on a Saturday night in the early fall (mid September). Although our room faced the street, there wasn't too much street noise. But I can imagine maybe during the warmer months people may be dining outside and there may be more noise. We did not have breakfast at the hotel to save money, but it seemed many people opted for breakfast. If breakfast had been included, we would have tried for sure. There are plenty of cafes and bakeries but beware that most places are closed on Sundays! A comfortable stay for our first night in Switzerland; would happily return and recommend to others.
