Holiday Inn Bern Westside, an IHG Hotel

Perfect location - right in front of the railway station and in a large trading center. And of course, the right to use Bernaqua for 3 hours per night is a wonderful bonus. Good breakfast @CHF25

Promised "range of free toiletries" consisted of a bottle of liquid soap and same of a shampoo - that was all. A bit scanty for a 4star hotel. Also a complementary bottle of mineral water would be normal for a hotel of this level, but the owners decided differently. My room was on the 8th floor, which was meant to be the privileged floor for members, but every morning I was woken up by numerous monstrous blows on the walls from above. It felt as if the whole building was jumping and the walls were vibrating because of these blows - very uncomfortable. It must have been repairs, but there should have been a warning, at least.

The location was very convenient since it was right next to the train and tram station. It was quiet at night. My son loved the water park pass and we went there every day. The hotel is located in the mall so the food court, stores and grocery stores were right there. This was the most convenient hotel in all Swiss cities due to transportation access and food options without breaking the bank. I was ready to spend less after spending 70 to 90 Swiss Francs for a meal for two of us every day. Friendly staff and comfortable room. Good breakfast.

No refrigerator and microwave in the room. Refrigerator available upon request. Microwave use not allowed. Not an upscale place but clean and decent.

Exceptionally friendly staff; great location. Very good breakfast. The hotel is connected to a neighboring shopping mall that has very good food court and also large supermarket. The hotel lies adjacent to a highway. Tram-/bus-/train station lies at less than 50 m from the property. A free travel ticket valid within the city of Bern during the whole stay facilitates visiting the city without the ned for the car. The staff responded directly to our messages requesting information before check in and also thereafter. Our request to have a minibar in our rooms was directly accomplished. We are grateful for this kind hospitality.

Very good facilities 1) free transportation - tram 8 takes 25 min To Bern central station (old town) - trains S51/S52/S5 take from 5 to 15 min To Bern central station (old town) 2) free pass to Bernaqua 3) being part of west side mall was a great plus - with many shops, restaurants @ cafe

The reception was undergoing renovation Absence of minibar (No surprise) as these points were already known before arrival The breakfast selection is a bit limited but the quality of food was good

Everything was in line with our plan, we took the room to get accès to the SPA and being close to the city center, as we were traveling by car the transfers were easy. We paid the agreed extra cost for our Pet, price was in line with what is request in hotels around CH. The reception team was very kind and helpful. If you use the SPA access the price of the room becomes a really good deal.

The staff was amazing, very kind and professional, from the Receptionists to the restaurant staff. Very clean. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is incorporated in the Westside Mall, a lot of shops and a food court, plus 2 minutes thru the Mall to get to the Bernaqua Pool & Spa.

I did not like the bathroom door that for some reason has some lines on it (you can see thru it basically). The area is a bit shady, next to a train/tram station. The bed was too small although I have booked an Executive room with a super large bed. That was not the case. It was a normal bed (probably 180cm).

Very clean. Included aquapark 3hours, close to Bern town. Hotel is in shopping center, so you can find everything here, shops, cinema, restaurants. From the parking elevator you can reach you room level very fast.

Some of the service very kindful, but one person was unprofessional, she didn't say about aquapark, about parking, about services and all things, she just gave the cards from the room and i needed figure out byself.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had a nice view of a corn field. Free parking on site.

The room faced a train station and was a bit noisy at times. The air-conditioning could have been cooler or at least allow adjustment to a lower termperature. The summer temperature was far too hot and the air-conditioning not cool enough.

The hotel location was exchanged with easy access to train and trams. Plus a shopping mall is connected with the hotel and a water park is also next to it! Breakfast was good, staff very friendly and helpful and comfortable rooms. Overall 5/5 experience. Will stay here again with family .

Breakfast could be a bit better. There should be more option of omlette and cereals.

The pool, in the mall, connected to the hotel is fantastic! Slides, jetted pools, hot outdoor pools, saunas. I went with my partner, but if you have children, this would be a wonderful experience for them too.

We thought our breakfast was included, but at the end of the stay discovered that it wasn't. Still, it was a very good breakfast and inexpensive for Switzerland.
