Heritance Negombo

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. On arrival we were given VIP treatment coupled with a curtesy drink. Check in was smooth and the staff was amazing. The facilities were brilliant and we enjoyed the bar at the swimming pool. The hotel is a walking distance from many restaurants. Their tours desk helped us plan what we could do and arranged a tour company for us. Breakfast was very good with a variety of food in their buffet. Thank you to all the staff for making our first visit to Sri Lanka memorable.

At times breakfast was not always hot.

Breakfast was lovely. We ordered room service for dinner and the food was excellent. Beds were extremely comfortable. We were told we were upgraded but I don't think we were as the room was pretty small and looked just like the photos of the room we booked. Maybe we were on a higher floor....not sure. Staff were great with our little one.

The kids / shallow pool was emptied which was so disappointing and no where were we informed during booking. It looked really dirty which was a shame for the view from the room. We also booked an early checkin / late check out offer and found the service person we spoke to so rude about this and kept telling us it was $50 for a late check out. In the end, managed to get 12pm check in and 2pm check out but it was a hassle!

Great pool area right by the beach, sun beds had a lot of space. Perfect place to spend some time relaxing before/after exploring Sri Lanka Plenty of choice at the buffet breakfast Comfortable beds with a great shower, amazing views from the balcony. Close to all restaurants, shops and bars.

Food and drinks are really over priced, i would really recommend eating/drinking elsewhere as plenty of choice nearby. Staff are not as friendly as we found them at smaller, boutique hotels. Staff forgot to add a tab to my parents room so transferred it our room without communication after they had checked out.

The moment you step into the hotel is definitely a wow moment as you are greeted with a gorgeous blue view from the top to bottom glass panel in the lobby. The room with seaview also gives you that wow moment and is comfortable to stay in. Food offering, including ala carte, is varied and tastes good. Love the direct access to brown beach too!

It gets very hot despite the aircon in the lobby. Also, there’s no hairdryer in the hotel room which is a little surprising for a good hotel like Heritance (a staff told me I could have requested from Housekeeping but I explained it should already be provided by default and I didnt want to trouble Housekeeping late at night).

Loved the pool, pool bar, proximity to the beach, the view, the food, abundance of lounge chairs on the lawn, and a fence with a guard to keep sellers from bugging you while you lay on the lawn furniture.

There wasn't a lot to not like! The pool fountain came on too early and made too much noise so you couldn't hear the ocean. When it's off you can hear the ocean waves nicely from your balcony. Bedroom slippers in the room would be nice, the floors are tile. That's my only two complaints, and NOT a deal breaker!

Staff all smiles and helpful.

Although lots of breakfast variety, bacon limp. Cooks don't know how to cook eggs over easy and hand flame too high creating crusty edge on eggs after cooking. Cold breakfast cereal stale and very limited variety. While staff friendly and helpful, still some language barrier. Position of side condition vents in our room created cold air directly on face which was uncomfortable.

This hotel had the best customer service when I was in Sri Lanka. love the hotel love the room love the foods, view and all about it. Staff was so friendly and made me feel safe and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you udayanga from front , lashan and buddika for friendly and fast responses with my needs. I love love this place❤️ Thank you so much

Everything was good but if I suggest something I really needed microwave oven in my room. I think it’s essential for a room. Atleast one in a floor.

Great hotel on the beach with sea view rooms , loved the swim up pool bar and plenty of sunbeds to use with towels provided . Food was great with good selection for buffet breakfast / lunch / dinner . Rooms were great with comfy beds and everything we needed during our stay , the staff were all very attentive and friendly , we had a great stay all round !

It was close to all of the restaurants on the Negombo strip. A short taxi ride to the centre of Negombo. The breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful. It was also only 15 minutes to the airport.

It was quite a distance from Colombo (about an hour) where I was working. But this was the downside of having a hotel right on the beach, and having the joy of Indian Ocean sunsets.

The hotel offered us everything we wanted for the first few days of our holiday.

The organisation of the seating at breakfast was chaotic. We were ushered to a table that was not vacant and then when we brought our food back to the table we were sitting in there was someone sitting at our table, although our mobile phone and glasses were on the table.
