Catalonia Ronda

The location of the hotel was ideal, right on the edge of the old town, close to restaurants and shops and opposite the famous bull ring. The bar and restaurant on the top floor overlooked the bull ring and was very stylish and popular. There were parks and gardens also within in very easy walking distance, all with great views over the valley. We had a suite on the third floor with great views and excellent facilities. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. They parked our car and returned each day.

The hotel has a large number of rooms and there was a coach tour at breakfast on our first morning, so the breakfast room was very busy. On the second morning it was much calmer.

The location of the hotel couldn't be better located with easy access to all the attractions and some amazing restaurants. The family room we had was perfect, unlike many family rooms we have stayed where the additional bed feel like an after thought and tend not to be very comfortable, the bed arrangements in this hotel were very well designed bunk beds with storage and integrated lighting. Even with the bunk beds down there was ample room to still utilize the lounge area of the room to watch a family film etc. The bathroom was also a highlight, very well designed and stylish.

Very nice hotel. All rooms, bathrooms and furniture are nicely updated. There is a great pool and hot tub on the roof, with great views all around, including a view right over the bull ring across the street from the hotel. It is an easy walk to everything from the hotel. We had to get two rooms for our family of 5. I wish we had another night to stay there.

The instructions about the area to stop and unload the car was confusing. You are supposed to pull into the lot of the bull ring across the street, and park in the taxi area while unloading. The lot to park in is a short walk away, and you can pay at the hotel for a discounted rate.

There is a wonderful sun terrace, swimming pool, and whirlpool on the rooftop. Beneath is the hotel’s restaurant with a large balcony that offers magnificent sunset views and a top-down view of the bullfighting arena. The staff is unbelievably service minded, helpful, and professional. We received lots of advice as to how to best see the town, and the bell boy even drove with us to the underground parking a few hundred meters away, just to be sure we got it right. So helpful.

There is one small thing that surprised us. The restaurant probably offers Ronda’s best view of the amazing landscape – and the sunset. Except for a small crowd coming to see the sunset, the restaurant was empty. And maybe for good reasons. We found the menu selection uninspiring, ordinary, and without any creativity. We had booked a table for our dinner but decided to leave after having seen the menu – and all the empty tables in the restaurant. This is a shame because everything else is superb.

We were given a huge corner room overlooking the bull ring and with stunning views to the distant hills. Huge extremely comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and a well stocked fridge . One of the best rooms we have stayed in. The best staff ever, so helpful and pleasant. The food both breakfast and dinner are excellent, so much choice at breakfast we ate too much! Don't miss out on the lovely cafes and restaurants in town for both meals, the hotel recommended a great place in the old town across the gorge and we found lovely cafes within 150m of the hotel for breakfast. We especially likes a cafe on a corner a little further up the road from the turning to the car park. Great deli and cafe just beyond that too. I could go on such a fabulous place.

The hotel is really well located, just across from the arena and a few steps away from the bridge. We got room with a nice view on the arena and a tiny french balcony. The room was big enough, the bathroom as well and it was perfectly clean and tidy. The rooftop terrace has an amazing view and is great for drinks and a bite to eat. The staff is very friendly! Our car got parked for us in the parking garage, which was very nice.

The rooftop pool was a bit of a disappointment. It looks very big in the photo’s while in real life it’s more of a plunch pool. It has room for 2 sunbeds next to it, the rest of the beds are on a lower part of the terrace.

A fabulous hotel, perfectly located in the centre of Ronda and within walking distance to all the sights, the Gorge and the Old Town. Excellent staff who provided an unprompted but welcome orientation on checking in, and were helpful on all occasions. The rooms were modern, well equipped and very spacious. The best part is the rooftop bar and pool which provides excellent views over the Bull Ring opposite, the surrounding area, and is the perfect location to watch the sunset with a sundowner. We will definitely stay again when we return to Ronda.

the view of the Plaza de Toros was amazing. The bar terrace was just as beautiful of a view, if you didn’t have a room with a view like ours. the room was incredible. the bed could fit probably 6 people, I’ve no clue what size it was but it’s something bigger than a king. the bathroom was lovely, with separate stalls for the toilet and the shower from the rest of the bathroom. and we had 5(!) balconies (the bathroom’s were Juliet balconies, but still, balconies in the BATHROOM!). we stayed 4 nights and had a WONDERFUL visit. 10/10 would recommend.

the other travelers from a certain country that just “exited” the EU. They were rude to staff and didn’t even try to speak Spanish one bit. one woman was so outstandingly rude and condescending to the bartender that I think I will remember (and tell everyone about her) for the rest of my days.

This is an exceptional hotel with magnificent views of the bull ring on one side and the mountains on the other. We upgraded to a 5th floor room and it was well worth it for views and a much larger room. one free spa visit is included in this upgrade. The breakfast was the best buffet breakfast I have had in a hotel with plenty of healthy options. There is a rooftop to sit and look at the view and a beautiful lounge area inside which also has great views. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. We had dinner in the dining room one night and it was excellent. The hotel is in a great location and very central to visit all the sights and for restaurants and also for the gorge.

The hotel location is excellent, the staff was very helpful and the facility was both modern and comfortable. Our (corner) room was large with a very nice bathroom and had 4 sets of large windows that opened to let in fresh air. The room had all the modern conveniences we needed and was a pleasant surprise after traveling for almost 2 weeks. We also enjoyed the upstairs bar and terrace. Highly recommend this property.

While we were in Ronda, the weather was cooler than expected and a bit rainy - so unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of all the rooftop amenities.
