I love every detail about the maison as well as the interior design. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Some people complain about the noise due to the miss isolation and they’re absolutely right, however what do you expect from a building from 19th century? If you are very sensitive to the noises so this property may not be suitable for you, but if you want to experience an historical place then you would be so happy.

First of all, It’s not a big deal but I’d like to mention it. I wanted to stay at a room which has a sea view and I was ready to pay for additional cost. The satff was very friendly and did his best to arrange a seaview room for me at least for a few days. The first room I stayed at has a higher price than my booking.com room and I payed for it for sure. But, the second room, which is much better than my room which I booked through booking.com at first place, its price was lower than my booking.com room. So they compensated the price difference and charged it to me. In my opinion, if it’s cheaper they could keep it same. Nevertheless as I said not a big deal. Meanwhile, you should prefer to stay at 2nd,3rd floor instead of entrance floor.

A beautiful, authentic building perfectly located away from the busy old town, close to Monte Igeldo funicular. Literally cross the road to the beach & an easy stroll along the promenade to the old town, restaurants, shops & night life. The room was a reasonable size with full length doors that let in a nice breeze. The fridge was a bonus. The staff were pleasant & helpful.

The hotel was very dark. It was difficult to see to put your key in the door. The air conditioning had a noise of running water, so we could not sleep with it on. The bed was very hard. The bathroom was very small & the water gushed from the smaller shower head. The water did not drain away & pooled in the base. Unfortunately these issues did not make this hotel good value for money.

This is an excellent place to stay. Very close to the beach, which is reached across a little park. A grand old building with sphinxes guarding the steps to the front door and brass statuettes decorating the bedroom. Comfortable bed, plentiful hot water, a coffee machine for espresso in the room, clean, a fun guy on reception who advised on where to eat, decent Wifi, fluffy bathrobes provided - there was nothing not to like. And did i mention the beach?

I marked it down slightly for "value for money" because it was relatively expensive for a two-star hotel away from the centre of San Sebastian - it is in a local neighbourhood that is nice in its own right but a good half hour's walk from the Old Town . But really, that was more than compensated by the individuality of the hotel and the closeness of the beach. I see other reviews where the guests didn't like the breakfast room, but we went out to a neighbourhood cafe for our coffee and croissant (excellent) so I can't comment on that.

My short stay at La Galeria was great! - The location is amazing: 3 minutes away from the beach (by foot) ; well connected to public transports ; in quiet surroundings ; and around 30 minutes by foot from the busy historical centre which nudges you to have the beautiful seaside walk until there. There is also a street with bars, shops and restaurants situated 5 minutes from the hotel. - The staff was very friendly and took the time to inform me about the cool things to do in the city. - The hotel is very vintage and has character (to the contrary of chains hotels)

- The cleanness could be improved (the bathroom was spotless, but if you enjoy walking bear-feet, you'll feel some dirt on the bedroom floor, but as I mentioned, the hotel is vintage, so it's less easy to clean than some very modern place, which is part of the charm!)

The hotel is really close to the Ondarreta beach and we had a corner dual-aspect room with one of the little terraces having a view over the ocean. I imagine the rooms at the front with a full sea view must be something quite special. The staff were really nice and helpful. There are a number of restaurants within easy walking distance if you do not want to go across to the old town. The old town is a very pleasant 2-3 km walk along the seafront or you can take a bus/taxi. you can also walk to the furnicular tram up to the viewpoint and then it is an easy 30 mins walk down again. You can park your car right infront of the entrance but see below...

The car parking spaces are limited and you have to give your car keys to reception incase you block someone who needs to get out. It was not an issue for us as once we arrived as we did not use the car for the 3 days we were there. San Sebastian is designed to make it easy to get around without using your car and I would advise you to walk, cycle or use public transport to get around.

The room was spacious, very clean with fridge, tea & coffee facilities. We only stayed here for 1 night with friends. We had a sea view room which did overlook a vacant lot but was a pleasant outlook. The staff were friendly and efficient on arrival and departure. The beach is very close though when we visited it was a little cool to lay in the sun.

It is quite a walk to the old town from the hotel albeit along the flat promenade so it not difficult, There are some bars and restaurants near the hotel. We had requested a double room but none with a sea view were available.

friendly stuff, clean bathroom and towels, good location (about 10-15 minutes of walking to the city center), great price, we also had a room with a nice view and windows can be fully opened

we had an issue with AC, there was a huge puddle of water cuz water was leaking from the AC non stop however the stuff helped us resolve the issue and just be aware that the room is very small (the hotel mentioned it)

We loved staying in the lovely old building, much nicer than 4 star hotels, more a boutique hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We were very lucky with the weather so could swim opposite the hotel. A beautiful walk in to the old town at night for tapas, with the see on our left and very attractive architecture to our right. We liked everything and will return. It was in a great location, lovely cafés for breakfast/lunch also some nice boutiques around.

it is inside of the quite residence area but only 2 min to walk to the beach of Bahia de la Concha. 4 min to the bus stop and you can go to the downtown by Bus 5 and 25. (10min). The hotel is a style of classic and elegant outlook. there are local shops, bars and supermarkets if you walk down 5 min. very convenient to go to Paladin Miramar and “Peiña del Viento” I stayed one night with less than 80 euro which was a fantastic offer for this nice hotel

Not recommendable for the tourists who do not want to take the public transportation to the down town. it would take more than 30 min on foot if you walk to there. but you can enjoy the best view of the Bahia de la Concha, which is a must to experience.

Clean, amazing summer location by the La Concha beach (although slightly further from the centre about 25 min walk) but easily reached by bus. Nice seaside views, aircon, friendly staff, very good bathroom and free Nespresso coffee capsules daily.

It was way too noisy and poorly insulated. I can imagine it being amazing if you’re alone or not too many guests at once but we could hear the next door guests at all times as if they were in our room.
