Really nice room, the pool area was great. Great location as you are a short walk to town but the hotel is in a quite location. We were able to get a late checkout which was great!

It would be great if the rooms had proper doors on the bathroom, instead of a strange floating sliding door. It would make the bathroom more private.

Hotel is close to the airport and they offer a convinient shuttle service

It was noisy and I had difficult sleeping. Sounds from outside the room could easily be heard. The AC also didn't work properly and one had to open and close the window to convince the system that all windows are closed (otherwise the AC won't turn on)

As a mobility scooter user access is high on my list and this hotel was really good on this front - multiple wide, gentle ramps to the front entrance, large automatically revolving front door with side door often left propped open too, quick lifts. The door into the room wasn't really heavy like some and there was one small step into the shower and a step onto the balcony which were OK for me. The room was spacious and clean, there's a kettle too and multiple power sockets. The bed was super huge and comfortable meaning we had the best sleeps we've had in ages! Breakfast was buffet style and yummy - lots of fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, nice pastries, cereals, yoghurts, cooked options too. Staff were all friendly and attentive in all locations - reception, at breakfast, and by the pool. A must have for me is steps [rather than a ladder] into the pool and there were two lots of steps here! The pool was a really good size for a hotel pool [we estimated 25m long] but it is quite chilly so my challenge for the day was to do 10 lengths a day, it felt great once I'd warmed up after! The hotel was set on a hill but we liked the quieter location and at the bottom of the hotel is La Cerveceria del Antiguo - a fabulous restaurant, so good we went three times in five nights!

I'm short statured so the balcony was too high for me to see over and wasn't see through which would have been better. Free parking for hotel residents would be good or perhaps for stays over three nights or something.

Spotlessly clean and very modern. No sign of wear and tear and clearly very well maintained. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and bright and came with a large balcony with table and chairs. The bed was very big and comfortable and had plenty of pillows of different types. Simple things, like having an easily accessible HDMI port to the side of the tv for plugging in a streaming device are a nice touch. Pool area is lovely, with a snack bar and clean toilets and showers. Overall a very nice stay,

Parking not included in the room rate and charged at €17 per day seemed a little unfair.

Nice quiet room with balcony

I think the advertisements for this hotel should advise that the hotel is situated up a steep hill. We as non spanish speaking visitors arrived at the train station expecting to transfer to the hotel by taxi. There was a taxi sign outside the station but no taxis. We (two near 80 year olds) had to walk in extreme heat and pulling suitcases all the way to the hotel, right across town. I think some mention of this should be mentioned in advertising material for overseas visitors.

The hotel is like the other Barcelos. Nice attention to detail everywhere. Comfortable bed, pillows and great shower. The balcony in the rooms is huge. There is a premium gym downstairs, but you have to pay - they do give you a big discount. There's free water in the lobby. Bus stop in front, easy to walk to the beach.

The heating/cold air is strange. It was cold outside but extremely warm inside. It seemed to be central heating so the only way to counter this is with AC - this is very strange. There should be a way to turn off the heating. We found the room extremely small as well. The location is very far away from the Casco Viejo - about 30 mins walk.

The large pools were nice, nice rooms, nice breakfasts, very kid-friendly hotel.

Well, we have kids too that are now 12 and 17. The hotel is fine for families but it was very noisy with small children. Especially at breakfast, it was chaotic and loud with screaming small children. Even my children were complaining about the loud young children. Tantrums everywhere, screaming fits. There were some older couples there without children, probably not ideal for them. It is a very nice, comfortable hotel.

The room was a great design, the bed was very comfortable, and the balcony was a great size. The pool area was a very good design, we enjoyed the fake grass which was very comfortable underfoot. We had breakfast their 2 mornings and the quality, choice and quantity was outstanding

I cant fault out 4 day stay everything was spot on, the location is not the best for the old town/centre of San Sebastian its a 30 min walk away but you know you are in the newer end of town when you book

Nice and clean rooms, friendly staff, location out of the busy centre, walking distance from the beach. Good swimming pool, nice minibar. We received free bottles of water every morning, that’s something every hotel should do.

Swimming pool with fake grass was bit weird. Someone of the staff entered our room at 19h30, without mentioning anything and just leaving. Our room got a call in the morning at 6h30, the phone rang once without anything, very weird.

The bedroom is excellent Breakfast very good, although too many people and short period of time (8-11AM)

- The indoor swimming pool that appears in the hotel photos doesn’t belong to the hotel! It belongs to a gym, that shares the same parking garage. Guests of the hotel are not allowed to use the pool, except if they pay for a day at the gym - People from the gym can use the outdoor hotel swimming pool (free pass), which causes an excess of people and lack of outdoor chairs - The gym and the hotel are separate things I do think the hotel should mention all that on its description.
