Great place if you want to experience the “old Tulum” vibe. There are 9 only rooms located right on the beach, one of best beaches in the world. The room are nice and clean and the bed is comfortable. The staff and the owner are great: helpful and friendly! They will help you with everything from restaurant recommendations and bookings to transfer and special food requests. The food is outstanding, traditional Mexican food, great breakfasts, even better tacos and Ceviche and fair priced. I was staying in the luxury tent, which is an amazing room. They also have more traditional rooms and 2 rooms right on the beach.

I am giving this place a 10 rating, however there are few things you need to know before booking: -It is located at the most southern edge of the Tulum beach strip almost in the jungle, so if you are looking to party every night, this is not your place. You can go to the center of the beach strip by bike in 15 mins or by walking on the beach in 25 mins. -The mosquitoes in Tulum are for real, so load up on B vitamins a week in advance before going. -You are so close to the ocean, that you can hear the waves at night. So if you need completely peace and quiet to sleep, just bring some earplugs.

It was so beautiful. The location was perfect completely isolated from the loud sounds and busy beaches. We had the beach to ourselves. We loved George and monsur the chef and Fernando! - the whole team made us exceptional home cooked food and cocktails. By the end of the trip we felt like we were apart of a family! 💗

Bring that OFF guys! Mosquitoes in tulum are no joke!

This place is marvellous, out of this Earth. It's very different from any places we visited. Lead by amazing manager, with great stories about Mexico and his life, you can't imagine better companion for holiday's deep conversations, that were started on the evening and went into the middle of the night. Several times. It's very different place, far different than other hotels you will find in Tulum. Photos, especially photos of rooms, do not reflect how great this place is. We choose it since we wanted to find real Mexico and taste great food. Kitchen is the best asset of this place, chef is 5 star expert (I have no idea how they bring them there). We were there for 11 nights and every day we ate new, amazing Mexican meals, made from meat, fruits and vegetables bought on the same day at the local market. Some of the recipes we took from chef to make it by our own, but I'm sure we will fail. Over the night we had a chance to see turtles on the hotel's beach. We were leaving this place feeling sad, since we became friends with the service, and I hope one day we will be back there.

I was missing helipad but that's fine, I can live without it. Truly, difficult to find something to improve there.

George is such an asset to manage the customer relation in all functions. Great pleasure provided by the whole team! Location best in Tulum.

The only deficit: no hairdryer available because of the electrical system. She looks great anyway.

If you want to get away from it all in a beautiful natural location, this place is for you. Our glamping bungalow was very well equipped - comfy bed, great shower and lovely shampoo, soap, conditioner etc. We were steps from a deserted private beach with wonderful lounge beds and bar. Food was served on the beach if desired. The chef and food were absolutely fabulous. The staff were always available and so helpful and nice. The place attracts artists and musicians which was great.

Very expensive overall. We would have liked to have a pool on the property for days when the ocean was too rough to swim in. It would also be nice to have brighter light fixtures in our room at night.

Libelula was magical - we wished we could have stayed longer! The whole experience was incredible and it is difficult to find the words to do it justice. It is located right at the end of the beach road, within the Sian Ka'an Reserve, so it feels beautifully remote and secluded, while being in easy reach of the more lively parts of Tulum. We were very lucky to see lots of wildlife while we were staying, including baby turtles and so many beautiful birds. Jorge, Armando and Mansur made our experience even better - we loved spending an evening chatting around the bar with other guests, drinking Armando's delicious cocktails. The whole place felt very inclusive, laid back and friendly. The food was exceptional - the best we ate in Mexico! The rooms are beautifully kept and We would love to return!

The only thing that could be improved is the amount of water available in the rooms/the ability to buy larger bottles of water at the bar. Other than that, it was perfect!

The staff and the food are amazing. Jorge is always there to help or up for a chat and the food was the best we had in all Mexico – honestly! The beach is sensational and by far the most beautiful in Tulum we've seen from all the hotels – quiet and clean.

Highly recommend to not book house/tent 7 or 8, meaning book the ones towards the beach. The evining/night bar are close to the tents 7 and 8 and you can hear everything – from chatters to music.

While the location of the hotel is definitely a plus and gives it desert island vibes, we found that a simple transport facility is missing. Especially since the prices of the taxis are outrageous in Tulum (50USD to get anywhere on Tulum beach). Other than that, the rooms were very comfortable, the food even better than we had heard, absolutely dreamy. Second and last recommendation would be little available snacks after the kitchen closes (especially since it’s expensive to go to and from the beach!). So a special thanks to Jose, and the kitchen staff ! You made our stay very easy, hope to see you around sometime !

Everything!! The whole place has a super relaxed vibe. Food and drinks were amazing! They also gave us the best advice on what to do in the area, away from the crowds. The beach is really nice and secluded so you can have it all to yourself. The best thing though was the staff!! super friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Jorge, Mansur and Armando :)

Nothing. however, this is not a place for you if what you're looking for is luxury, 24/7 service and/or a party hotel

We stayed in tulum for 7 days. The first 4 nights we stayed in Coco tulum. Rooms were super dark, ac didn’t work because of the terrible isolation, staff was 5/10 at best. Long story short. We were a little bit annoyed after the first nights. What a nice surprise when we moved to libelula then. Resort was wonderful, perfect and and a little bit abandoned located, rooms are small and cozy but modern-stylish at the same time. And even better is the whole libelula family. Jorge, chuma and co are pure gold, super nice, smart and helpful + the best Mexican food! They even have a little jungle gym there, at least as cool as the legendary tulum jungle gym. Hope to be back soon!
