Ameritania at Times Square

Great location, only a short walk from both Times Square and Central Park. The hotel itself is great, with a modern bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Although you’re in the very centre of town, the room is quiet. The staff were courteous and helpful when we asked about transport, etc. They stored our luggage in the hotel free of charge the day we checked out, which was good. A great base for a short stay in NYC, if you want to be in the middle of things.

The air con was loud, especially when turning itself on and off in the night.

I loved the location. They knew it was my daughter's birthday so they made sure we had a great room in the corner of one of the top floor. I loved the waterfall shower head in the bathroom. I loved the huge mirror in the room.

I didn't like that we had to go to the lobby to get ice. I wish there was an ice machine on one of the regular floors. I wish there was a little microwave in room. I'm being very picky here because it was a great experience.

Room was clean and large with a decent view. Perfect for just my daughter and myself. When returning to NYC, I would book here again. Price and location were just right.

Most of the staff was very nice and helpful. 1 bellhop was not as nice but everyone else was great! Shuttle to airport would of been nice. Would of liked somewhere to purchase water on site.

Needless to say the hotel is situated at a prime location, nested between Central Park and Times Square. Ample room size and two complementary bottles of water each day of the stay. The bathroom is well lit thus making shaving easier. Basic toiletries will be provided. Complementary coffee in the lobby during the morning time. Hotel and rooms are relatively clean and housekeeping staff is co-operative. Good Wi-Fi and mini refrigerator in the room. I would specially like to thank Khaoula and Franchisca at the reception desk for their hospitality and support, making my check-in process quick and efficient and also accommodating me with the extension of my stay at the hotel, upgrading my room both times and not requiring me to change my room when I extended.

If you are a light sleeper, request a room on the higher floors. This is an old building and windows do not block any noise from the streets. A note to management, please request your housekeeping staff to clean the mold from the shower area. It maybe difficult to see since the tiles facing the shower are black in color.

The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the size of the room. That being said, EVERYTHING else was fantastic. The location is absolutely perfect for a NY stay. 10 minute walk to either Times Square or Central Park, subway a stones throw from the hotel itself which helps you get anywhere else you would want to go. The staff however are the best asset to the hotel. They are professional, friendly and warm. Nothing is too much trouble but they do so without being in your face and this is from the reception staff (Shout out to Sergy) to the housekeeping staff to the bar staff. The bed itself was so comfortable too. I would 100% stay here again.

size of the room - it was fine, it did. Just a little bit snug.

The location is perfect, a couple of minutes walking and your are in times square. The room was big and had a lot of light and also all the facilities were working as expected. The only setback which i am seeing is the lack of breakfast due to COVID this is what we were told at reception.

Offering breakfast will be a plus for the hotel.

The hotel's prime location, coupled with the outstanding service provided by the front office staff, left a lasting impression on me. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Khaoula and Majid, who were the epitome of friendliness and helpfulness throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, they went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met, always accompanied by warm smiles.

Quiet location away from the noise and busyness of Times Square . Close to Central Park which we enjoyed visiting . Extremely comfortable bed and useful to have a small storage area in the room where we could park the suitcases. The floor we were on (7th) was very quiet . We werent disturbed by noise from other guests . Our view wasn't pretty -looking out on an enclosure facing windows of other rooms but the bonus was no street noise . Jeff, the concierge is a great help and organised a car for our return trip to the airport .Free tea/coffeee served in the mornings was vey welcome .

Lighting in the room could have been better -struggled at time to locate things with the poor light . Tea/Coffee in the room wouldhave been a nice addition . Closeness to Times Square -not a fan and we had to walk through it on occasion as we moved around -didnt like that.

I extended my stay a second time and needless to say it was due to my satisfaction with the hotel. I would specially like to thank Lila who accommodated my second extension, went above and beyond to give me a better rate and upgraded me second time so I don't have to change my room. Staff at this hotel is exceptional, it will make you ignore any shortcomings of the property.

This part of Manhattan is a busy area and windows do not block the street noise. If you are a light sleeper, request for a room at a higher floor. But again, Manhattan street noise is a tourist attraction :)
