Aloft Manhattan Downtown - Financial District

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Check-in was fast and simple. Nice grab and go food and drinks in the lobby. Great location. Short walk to Seaport, Oculus, Nobu, NY City Hall, WTC, Brookfield Place.

Everything was perfect. I loved the drybar shower products, however the hair conditioner bottle was bone dry when I checked in. Housekeeping was right there to fill it for me. No issue. The TV remote was very weak. I'm sure it needed batteries but I didn't bother to ask to have them changed as I was only staying for one night. If I was there for a longer stay, I would have requested new batteries and I'm sure it would have been handled.

Value and location was excellent. Easy to find on the subway. Very close to the 9/11 memorial and the mall. There was a bakery round the corner for breakfast.

There was no breakfast. There was no bar. Both were closed. The hot and cold water in the room was not so good. The shower worked great. But, there was no cold water at the sink. Both positions of the tap gave hot water. It was a little in convenient but the staff gave us bottles of water for tea and coffee. I reported it but I don't think they believed me... check it room 402.

The location is great, underground is really near, 7eleven and nice delis are near. Hotel itself is clean, well equipped and they clean your room every day. Neighbourhood was ok, did not feel unsafe at all. Only 15 minutes from Times square with underground, and 5 minutes walk to Brooklyn Bridge.

Front desk receptionist did not pay much attention to us during our whole day, did not say even hello and goodbye. The guy working in the bar was very nice and polite.

Everyone was very helpful and nice. The free hot chocolate, apple cider and ice water was appreciated. The room seemed clean and smelled nice.

The shower leaked out to the bathroom floor. The beds were too firm (although the pillows were great). A small mini fridge would’ve been appreciated. I also wish the coffee station wasn’t next to the toilet.

Near Tribeca. Casual vibe. Clean

HVAC was too large for the room so it bounced between blasting cool air and then blasting heat.

The location is perfect, surrounded by many shops/ restaurants and the subway is just around the corner. My room was perfect for a solo traveler, small but cozy, stylish, modern and comfortable. The bathroom had a spacious shower with nice amenities. The TV had a good selection of channels and the WI-FI worked great. Downstairs had a little lounge area in the back where you could sit, play games, eat/ drink.

There was only a slight problem when I was erroneously charged $7.00 (didn't notice it until I saw my credit card statement.) I contacted the Hotel and after a week, still no one had replied. I called them and they were able to refund me within a few mins. They said there was an erroneous charge for taxes.

Very comfortable king sized beds. Generally clean. Powerful air conditioner (both cool and heat function) Close to Fulton Street Subway Station, can travel to most New York destinations without changing train.

locker did not work with passwords other than 0000. Small luggage rack. Disgusting windows (full of mold in the middle layer) Small room (as expected in New York) Have to use coffee maker to make boiled water. (as expected for hotels in the us)

The aesthetic immediately caught my eye while booking. The room was cool. I'm a big fan of the sliding door/mirror for the bathroom. I'm a sucker for different design. The staff was really friendly as well. I also really liked that the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was drybar.

The only thing this was missing was a mini fridge that would've been perfect. That aaaaand being able to find the ice machine. We saw a cute ice bucket in our room but there wasn't a room on our floor to retrieve ice. But not the biggest deal, we just did like the germans and drank our stuff lukewarm

The staff was great and the room was clean.

No microwave or fridge in the room. The charges for my stay were a lil confusing. The bar in the lounge was closed which was a bit disappointing.

I have stayed at this Aloft location in previous years. While renovating my home, I decided to stay here again. The quaint design of the rooms is an efficient use of space, bed and pillows were very comfortable and easy access to public transportation. Also, there are a few gyms right around the corner.

It was a bit noisy on my floor. I could hear my neighbors at all times, but that's not a fault of the hotel. Perhaps, the guests at that time were just loud.
