Hotel Mezzo Pozzo

Our family of 5 (including 3 teenagers) stayed here on October 14, 2021 for one night in a family suite that had a queen bed, and 3 single beds in the same room. It was perfect for our short stay and had excellent value. The room was charming with Venetian decor and a Murano glass chandelier. It was in a great location, close to everything. I wish we'd had more days to stay in Venice. The staff was friendly and helpful, even storing our luggage for us until later in the day after we had checked out. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was excellent!

As shown on the map, the hotel was ideally situated for the airport waterbus stop. The room was fabulous, truly venetian. We had a bonus balcony upon which we ate a delicious breakfast. The staff had taken great care to ensure we knew where to find our keys and our room. In the morning the gracious manager/receptionist was totally charming. It was such a delight to stay in an authentic venetian property with glamorous decor while only paying a budget price. The area felt safe and quiet but we were still able to nip out and have a nightcap at a local bar. We were going on to stay with family but we would have been very happy to stay there longer and use it as out Venice base.

The hotel is such a hidden gem we didn't find it straight away - I'm sure that was our fault!

We had a room with an external bathroom but for our best commodity, they gave us a room with a private bathroom which made our stay really better. The location is really perfect, near Rialto Bridge, Piazza San Marco, and lots of other beautiful and historical places. Also, there are lots of restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. The lady who did our check-in was really nice and kind.

It has no lift so it can be unpleasant if you stay in the upper rooms. We were expecting a fancier hotel based on the photos but we can't complain about the conditions or anything.

This rental was perfect for a family of 6. A perfect space with plenty of character! Exactly what we were hoping for to our venician experience to stay and feel like a local :) The city was warm but the place was quiet and fresh so we were slept really well. The apartment was quite spacious and I loved the italian frescos in the ceilings. We picked up the key and the staff walked us to the rental which was very helpful. They were very friendly eventhough Venice can be tricky. Perfect location from the main spots as well. Only minutes from St. Marks basilica and Rialto Bridge. Excellent !! We were very happy. :)

Very clean and spacious. Great location. walking distance to San Marco square, grocery store, shops, and eating places. Overall, Staff were kind and courteous. Ericka patiently guided us from San Marco airport to the hotel and only left the hotel after we arrived and checked in. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Cant find any fault with the hotel. Although I must mention that the bath cubicle was small but yet manageable for me and my spouse. There were a few mosquitoes at night so keep the window and patio door closed after sunset.

The location was great! It was near a vaporetto stop and relatively easy to find with the instructions the hotel staff sent. They sent a video through WhatsApp on how to arrive there from the closest vaporetto stop. They upgraded our room, so we were able to have a bathroom in the room.

The first flight of stairs was okay to go up, but the second and third flight of stairs were very steep. The bed was two twin size mattresses pushed together.

The property looked just like the pictures and it was close to the restaurants and water taxi. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. The hotel was very clean especially the bathroom so impressed.

No elevator and our room was up a very steep staircase 3rd floor and trying to drag suitcases up and then down was exhausting. felt like I would fall at times. However the view was beautiful from the windows and it was a very big room so that made up for it.

The cosy, well equipped and located apartment in old building. Perfect and very nice contact with hotel staff - immediate response to inquiries and resolution of the reported problem. Thank you once sgain. :)

The only inconvenience - it was a bit chilly (only the living room and bedrooms are heated by air). We were given an extra blanket and heater which helped a lot.

it was clean easy to find and in the heart of things. good breakfast

I asked for a private bathroom which so got but we had to go through the living room to get there! they didn’t tell me this until the day before I got there. they supplied robes but we felt uncomfortable walking through when people were eating. As well the doors creaked loudly and even though they give robes there is not a hook to hang them anywhere

The room is very nice and decorated in a replica of the Venetian style. The breakfast was Excellent!! More than I expected. The front desk person a young lady was Exceptional, I am unfortunately forgetting her name, but she was super friendly, accommodating, and had a big sincere smile every time I saw her. She made me like Venice again, I had memories of Venetians being very unfriendly, but she was the opposite of that.

The room was great however the bathroom is very cheap looking -like a motel- which doesn't match the style of the hotel or the room. Its not a fancy hotel but has character and the bathroom could be better.
