A&O Dresden Hauptbahnhof

The location was good, just 3 blocks away from the Main central station, the bed was comfortable, the staff is very friendly, especially Willy who deserves a raise. I like that I can stay in my computer at reception all the time I need.

The light of my bed was not working. There were only USB chargers and I needed a normal plug but the bed hasn't, you gotta use the one outside the bed. The room needed some sweeping because of dust and little rocks from our shoes. Something else, someone stole my yogurts I put outside the window to get them cold. Aside from that, very good stay, I stayed 4 nights.

Nice place located just couple of minutes from the main station. You have to walk few more minutes to the old town but it is still walkable distance. Staff was lovely and really helpful. It is a big place with plenty of rooms so might be quite busy at the reception especially during weekends. Rooftop bar is quite handy however they open it at 7pm and close at midnight. It might have longer opening hours. Free storage room. vending machines with snacks. table football. beer available at the reception. good price. I would definitely stay there again if back in Dresden. Worth to mention couple of kebab places just outside where you can have a beer as well.

Guests don’t always pick the beds they were allocated to and the staff can’t really do anything with it. It might be improved so you don’t have to argue with other people.

Compared to other locations in Dresden, this was affordable and only 20 min walk to the city center. Private parking was a plus; friendly staff, they provided anything extra I asked for. Aldi 2 min walk away. Toilet and shower in 2 separate rooms, which made it easier in the morning to organize the family. The surroundings have wild life such as rabbits and foxes (although usually at dark). For a hostel the Bfast had a nice range of choices to eat.

Their sistem did not allow to modify comments on the invoice. Bfast area was tight and very busy sometimes. No glasses available in the room.

Great value for money, rooms are spacious for families, confortable, clean and since it is quite a new place, equipment is still in great condition. Location is great for train travellers, short walk from the main station. Staff seemed helpful, even allowed me to taste the beer they sell for no extra.charge.

Quite confused with the tax charge - me and a 6 year old child were charged 9.44 € for two nights, even when I overheard the guest who checked in before us being charged €1.30 per night which is the official tax according to the Dresden official tourism website. When I asked what was the reason, staff member told me it all depends on room and conditions, so will just keep anyone warned about this. Also don't buy water at reception desk, they charge twice the price from the vending machine that is in front of the desk.

Located near to the main train and bus station, easy to go by walking to the city center. In the dorms you have a toilet room and a shower room with an hairdryer. There is also a breakfast room and is possible to have dinner there. A kitchenette is available for the guests. Common area inside with some coffee machine, table games, and more. Common area outside too. Good value for money.

The structure is good value for money. Quiet area. Railway station is actually 10 minute walking distance but there is a bus stop right in front. Staff is very friendly and nice.

I actually stayed in a single room (which does not seem to be available very often, unfortunately). The majority of the rooms are dormitories. The room was quiet and service were useful. It was not super clean (nothing disgusting but could be better)

Everything was good. The building is modern and fancy and clean. A shop round the corner with everything you could want. Beautiful style in the room. The hotel is not far from the railroad station.

Some ventilation issue in the WC. The bed was making sound on every movement of my body. In the room there was no kettle, so we needed to travel from the upper floor to the basement where the kitchen with a kettle was.

The Tunisian receptionist was very helpful and went beyond what was asked of him. I got so much knowledge about the city, which I needed for my trip the next day. The breakfast was plentiful and full at all times.

The downside was the small size of the breakfast area. It was very crowded at busy times. For a building of this size, it should be bigger. At any time, I think it could fit no more than a few dozen

It's more of a youth hostel than a hotel but we knew that in advance. Friendly and nice service, quite good breakfast, clean but very compact room. There is a guest kitchen with a refrigerator on the ground floor. When it comes to parking, there are a lot of free spaces in the area (unless there is a football match at the nearby stadium :)

no air conditioning

Hotel (dormitory?) is located in less populated area of the city and it was easy to find free on-street parking just 10m away from the hotel (instead of paying hotel for parking). Very close to railway station, but at the same time not noisy. 20 min walk from old city centre, even less to shopping streets. Pretty good internet speed and wifi coverage.

The room I've got wasn't the same as on photos, and I would say it was 4-6 sq m less then what is on photos.
