Leonardo Royal Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz

I felt that I got more than I was paying for. We stayed there for 4 nights and the staff smiled and we got the help we needed. The room was just the right size, the bathroom fit its purpose and I was happy with the rest. Should we give a great advice (according to us) check the address for the “Rathaus passage” before landing - you’re probably gonna park there. It’s a 1,2 km walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel advertises say it’s possible to park at the hotel. They should write - parking at the hotel is only for elderly or people with health issues/disabled

Room was large enough, included a couple chairs. Nice bed and pillows. Large bathroom. Clean. Coffee in room. Decent tv. AC! Refrig. Room cleaned daily. We had a rear courtyard room and it was very quiet. Some nearby restaurants and a grocery behind hotel. On a busy street,but it’s peaceful enough. Close to Prenzlaurberg, Friedrichshain, Alexanderplatz. You could probably walk to museum isle in half an hour. Relatively easy and cheap to get to or from Brandenburg airport using one abc ticket, on train and then tram or bus. However, if you have an early morning flight and need a taxi, that will cost 60 to70 euro. Would stay here again.

They have a nice breakfast, but a bit too expensive.

The room is very nice and the beds were comfortable. The staff is very friendly and willing to try to help with anything. The breakfast is a very solid European breakfast.

The problem was with the air conditioning. Many rooms had air conditioning that wasn’t sufficient to keep the room cool. You definitely want an even numbered room as they get the morning sun not the afternoon sun.  although the staff is willing to move you around, I would bet that the chances are the AC won’t work very well. If you’re there in a hot part of the summer, I would be wearing and make sure you ask for a room that is even. probably would be a smart idea for the cleaning stuff to make sure that all windows are closed after they clean so that the room will not heat up during the day.

Very good coffee both at breakfast and from the espresso in the room. The room had a good soundproofing. Clean room. We had our coffee pads and bottle of water refilled. We've received a very nice fruit snack upon arrival. We appreciated the fact that the minibar was left for our usage while the snack could be purchased from a vending machine near the elevator. The modern way to get info related to the hotel and to communicate with the hotel is by using a room tablet.

We didn't receive a double bed but at least they joined the single beds for us. The breakfast had tasty and diverse options but it would be nice to have more pastries and greater variation between days.

Large room with a lot of facilities ( ther was even a coffe maker and coffee in the room), very clean. The beds were very comfortable and big. I especially liked the bathroom that had the toilet separated from the shower and sink. The personnel was very nice and helped us with everything we needed. The smart TV was a nice touch.

The hotel is not as close to Alexanderplatz as we thought. It's two tram stops away, or 15 minutes to walk, that doesn't seem too far, but when there are 32 degrees Cel ius and very humid outside, it's an incredible hard task to do. We had to change out first room because the the clima device was very noisy. Fortunately the personnel helped us right away and the room was changed immediately.

The hotel is located in a residential area just outside the hubbub of the center. The Breakfast buffet was excellent; staff were extremely efficient and responsive to requests; location was excellent, with nearby restaurants, supermarkets and excellent tram connections. The Tchibo coffee/espresso maker in the room was excellent. A/ C worked well on hot days.

The bathroom sink was not equipped with soap or a soap dispenser. This was only a minor issue, however.

The spacious double room was clean and comfortable, the hotel was very good for a 4 star hotel at a good location. It was easy to get to the tram and train stations, breakfast and cafe, restaurants, city centre and the main sightseeing locations. The staff at the hotel were helpful and efficient when it comes to responding to our enquiries and requests. We would definitely return to this hotel and would love to visit Berlin again soon. Highly recommend people for this hotel!

Our air conditioning was loud and it didn't seem to work. However, the maintenance came at the time we requested to come and check. They quickly offered the alternative room as it's not something they would be able to fix right away. As it was our last day, we didn't feel there was any point to change a room. We were able to open up the windows, so it was airy enough for us without trouble.

The location of the hotel is on the spot. There is public transportation 3-5 min walk from the hotel to practically everywhere. If you are more of a walk around person - then Alexander Platz area is just 15 min walk from the hotel. The hotel was clean and neat. I had a large room (32m) and my stay did not included breakfast just because I prefer to eat in the town and not in a specific hour. The coffee machine was a blast and the capsules were refilled each and every day. The shower was awesome and the staff was very friendly and helped with our requests.

The room was large but with almost without light. Something you do not pay attention to during day time, but during nighttime it is noticeable. In addition, the toiletries were not refilled everyday and the qty was not enough for 2 people. But these are really minors - the hotel is GREAT !

The hotel is in a easy to reach location, there are several tram and buslines nearby. It's also pretty close to an enormous park and a small supermarket. The room itself was spacious, with very good (hard) beds and a mini fridge. We asked for a room with courtyard view, which was a very good idea, we had no outside noise. The water pressure in the (roomy) shower was very good.

You either have to keep the windows open or keep the airconditioning on, otherwise it gets too hot in the room even at night. This wasn't really a problem for us, we could sleep with the noise of the airconditioning, but if you're sensitive to noise I would advise bringing earplugs.

The hotel is quite centrally located in Berlin being about 15 minutes walk from Alexander Platz or only about 5 minutes by either bus or tram services (there are stops close to the hotel). Although the main road on which the hotel is located is not attractive, there are nearby residential neighbourhoods which are are mostly very attractive with many bars, restaurants and grocery shops and some attractive parks. The accommodation was good and comfortable.

It is a big hotel and, in our case, we had a fairly long walk along corridors to get to and from our room.
