ibis Lyon Gerland Musée des Confluences

The swimming pool was small and crowded but better than none in a heat wave. The hotel is easy to reach by tram. The breakfast buffet was nice (scrumptious scrambled eggs). You can actually open the bedroom window (not a given any more!) There’s a book exchange.

The pool closes at 19:00 which is way too early in high summer. There should be an adult swim slot between 19:00 and 20:00 or 21:00.

Natasha at front desk and the breakfast room servers were very friendly and helpful. Actually all the staff we met were very polite and pleasant. The restaurant area was bright and clean and breakfast was delicious. Family oriented nice pool, Fussball in lobby.

A little difficult to find the ibis/Novotel entrance and parking from the car from the street due to so much traffic.

Comfortable, good value for the price. Flown from UK to see a band and the venue was 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast brilliant, with lots of variety of food. Staff friendly and helpful. Lady on reception lent us an electric adapter for our phone charging cable as we had forgotten ours.

No kettle or refreshments in the room.

Easy access by tram to Lyon centre. Staff helpful, located next to Novotel so were able to use the bar and restaurant.

Swimming pool wasn’t open, not made clear before booking. Rooms quite small. Only 1 lift was working for the five days we were there.

Whay i dont like is yhat had to go to another hotel to use the elevator/lift. When come to my room the bathroom shower stall was with a step up where cant use and could find an handle to lift into or step out..i walked barely into the hotel but if i came to the hotel with wheelchair i wouldn't able to fit the room or the bathroom. Doorway is too small wirh a wheelchair of 65 cm seat plus 15 com of wheelsides. Plus also the usb port dont work either

Good location (10 minutes to the centre by car). Friendly staff, cleanliness, comfortable sleep, good breakfast, a lot of board games for children, and of course a pool (more for children), but we did not have time to use it... And of course safety parking👍

Convenient location in terms of access to public transportation. Breakfast was okay, but there could have been more options to choose from.

The room was not very spacious, but I guess that’s common for France.

Location is very close to Rhone river with a good chance at river walk. Team station is close. Staff is very good and pleasant

There was no coffee/ tea maker and no iron for clothes. Would have been nice to have these

Don't expect your room before check in time. A little far from the city, but within walking distance. Lyon is plagued with pickpockets in trains, BE AWARE of your belongings.

Great location, close enough to tram/bus for easy access to city centre and an easy walk to the fascinating Musée des Confluences or the Matmut Stadium. Beautiful river walks within five minutes. Comfortable bed, nice shower; friendly and helpful staff; excellent breakfast buffet; lovely leafy terrace
