Location is great, easy access to public transportation or walking distance to main sites. Staff was extremely helpful and very attentive. Breakfast had plenty of options and staff was very kind - they can make eggs and coffee to order. Building was renovated and room and bathroom were very nicely decorated and clean. Bed was comfortable. Good value for money.

Sound insulation was subpar. I stayed in a room facing the main street and it was a bit noisy in the night - doesn't help that there's a McDonald's right in front of the hotel opened till late on the weekends. The room also shared a door with a different room and could hear a lot.

Excellent location. The manager who speaks Russian is very professional in her job. Friendly and competent. In general, everything is fine. And everyone is friendly. Responded to all requests and resolved all issues. Thank you!

It was very cold in the room last night. We were with a small child and this is a big problem. We are cold. Also, it is very strange that the girls at the reception do not speak English well. On the last day of our stay, there was a problem to book breakfast, the reception simply did not understand what time we wanted to come. And I would recommend posting a map showing how to get to you by car, as well as how to leave. Hotel is good but very small area where reception and breakfast are a lot of inconvenience

Staff is very kind - we received the room we asked for - we saw the Notre Dame de Fourvier from window; the room is very clean, towels changed daily, comfy bad, good temperature, an electric pot to heat the water. Location is very good - in front of the hotel there is metro stop Ampere, 650 m walk to Place Bellecour, a pedestrian shopping street in front of the hotel, so is quiet. We had breakfast for the first day - very good but very expensive; just “a cote” is U Express with all you need. We will come back at this hotel for sure, do not hesitate to book it!

Most amazing location. Just a wonderful home base to explore all the parts of Lyon. Clean building and the kindest staff, in particular the night staff who went above and beyond to make sure we got home safe during some once-in-decade rioting. Really appreciated the staff. Parking was expensive but generally worthwhile for people with a small car.

The breakfast was unreasonably expensive.

Location was perfect for us. 5 mins walking from Perrache train station, on the main city centre pedestrian street. Lots and lots of restaurants, small supermarkets for snacks and beverages. At a main Metro station and close to the old town. Very clean and quiet. Atmosphere seemed more for business-oriented travel or couples, not for families. We saw no children there but there could have been some. We liked Lyon and would return to the Alexandra.

Slow single elevator that took forever. It always stopped 1 floor up at reception for security I guess - a good thing - but aggravating also. No frig in the room.

So close to everything! Amazing location. Very nice staff. Room compact but had all that was needed including a kettle.

Would have been helpful to have more detailed instructions for car entry. We don’t have experience with bullards nor pedestrian only streets. Should describe turning into a street with a bullard, then pressing the intercom button on the box nearby, then bullard lowers, then coming into the pedestrian street and turning left and entering the garage on the left. Also, our shower door was faulty and water spilled out on the floor. Room lighting was too harsh.

Staff and services were great. Full Breakfast buffet. Clean with daily General housekeeping. Secure downtown location.

The only surprise was that the courtside room we had had no windows other than the glass pane door opening to the public court. Access to natural light was at the expense of in room privacy. This type of room was not included in the hotel website photo gallery. I would ask for a different room if this one was offered.

It is a hotel with best A/C I ever saw :) These days are extremely hot. There is a water machine in the lobby, which is super comfortable. The room is tiny, bathroom is quite big for it, very comfortable.

The only -1 point is for the parking as we have chosen the hotel as "parking available". Few minutes after booking I've got a message that private parking is full and "please see below the list of parking garages nearby". Which was probably for the best, as their parking (with a super narrow entrance) is for 40 EUR per night, and in 10 minutes walk there is a huge parking garage for 23 EUR/24 hours. It is at the train station.

The hotel was nice location good very good breakfast the family room very good . I will recommend this hotel to everyone for any occasion.

They need to put very good explanation who to arrive to the hotel by car, the parking very small and need to be reserved before otherwise is difficult to park close to the hotel a lot of trafic and even Google maps had some difficulty to reach the destination the parking cost 40 euros quite expensive but better then trying to find another one. But the staff the location the cleanest make our stay very nice.
