Mercure Libourne Saint Emilion

The hotel location is ideal, only a few minutes walk away from the centre of Libourne, and perfect for a base to visit the many vineyards of the area. The room was a good size and the bathroom was nice. The staff was also lovely and gave us good recommendations for dinner.

The bed frame made it impossible to sit on the bed to watch TV in the evening, as the top of it is way too low.

Onsite secure parking easy to access, great value 10 euro per night. Staff very professional, welcoming, helpful. Comfortable public areas including stylish bar, local wines. Tourist information cards. Location: right in town so near amenities, but quiet. Clean, comfortable, great value for money.

Room a bit on the small side but we only were there one night. If staying there for longer - and we do plan to return as Libourne is a lovely town - would ask about larger room.

Hotel was convenient and had a view of the river. We requested parking facilities and found them secure.

Booking.com advised that a room with a view had been booked at no extra charge. The invoice showed a charge. Whilst happy with the secure parking no mention of a charge was made when booking - the invoice showed the charge Paper cups for hot tea/coffee in the room - prefer ceramic cups - paper cups was not expected when staying at this hotel.

Modern room. Great breakfast. Great staff. Parked the bikes in the gated car park. Great location. We ate in the Bistro restaurant straight across the road from the Hotel. It was excellent.

Pay for parking. The price to stay was a little strong in comparison to other hotels we stayed at which had restaurants and spas.

We had a lovely room overlooking the river. It was above a busy street so I was surprised at how quiet the room was! It was within easy walking distance of the town and had lovely views with a deck in the front.

The room was extremely small. It was difficult to find a place to fully open my suitcase and organize my clothing!

The location is very good. Breakfast is very good.

The room even if it was always clean had some strange smell. Maybe because pets are allowed. We open the window often but we could smell it when back in the room

Very comfortable and quiet room. Good facilities and private car park though that was small and did fill up quite quickly.

No bar or restaurant. Went to place across the street on hotel's recommendations and that was not good value alto obviously very popular with the locals.

Everything..there is no restaurant for an evening meal...but a nice place across the road. Libourne is a lovely place. Private parking was secure and close by.

I have to say...everything was great..I had a room overlong the Dordogne and I said to my wife that we must visit and stay here sometime in the future.

Shame about the parking as everything else was really very good. We would not stay again because of the parking problem.

Lack of parking

As I was there on a Sunday I got a good reminder from the girl in the reception that some restaurants were closed and handed me a map with what restaurants were open on Sundays. I was also asked if managed to park close to the hotel, which I did. Nicely run hotel.
