Novotel Cairo Airport

Rooms are recently renovated, Rooms and bathroom very spacious, clean and comfortable.

When you make the booking, it promises early check-in, when you try to arrange, you are expected to pay an extra 30USD which makes the stay not as economical. Free shuttle offered between airport and hotel, but drivers harass you into a 'tip' of 5-10USD each way. Not really something i disliked, but something to consider, the hotel room doors are dark and old, which gives the impression that the hotel is outdated. A fresh coat of paint or lighter doors, will help brighten the hallways and create a more modern look and feel.

The hotel is very nearby the airport, making it for me a good choice for my last night in Cairo. The bed was clean and comfy. The whole property looks in general very clean and neat.

The walls and floor of the shower were not that clean. The person at the check in desk was not very friendly. Also we left our luggage behind because we were too early to check in and the check-in person told us that someone will pick it up to take it to the storage room. We left and came back about 10h later and our luggage was still in the exact same place we left it, at the main hall XD The people smoking inside the restaurant was quite unpleasant for me.

Decent size room which was clean and well furnished. There was a minibar, a safe box and a kettle with tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was nice, I would rate it 8/10, with plenty of choices. The location was next to Cairo International Airport, which was ideal for us, but may not be so for those seeking touristic destinations within Cairo. The price was very much reasonable.

Parking area was in an open space,this may not be a good thing in extreme summer heat.

We staid only one night. Very practical for a transfer at the airport, with a free shuttle, professional staff, quiet and clean.

Impossible to reach the reception at night : they indicate a mobile number, nobody ever picked up between 9pm and 12am. The shuttle bus has to be booked by phone as well, which is not practical when you have no egyptian Sim card or don't speak arabic. Overwise, the stay was very good.

staff are amazingly professional, specially morning shift. thanks for Noura , Mohannad and Taha , they accommodate my requests for the 3 rooms. house keeping staff are very nice and friendly , special thanks for Mostafa in night shift. and for last . Mohamed he helped me with the luggage this man is the kindest ever . ibrahim in security , night shift . over all it will remain my choice. I have been visiting same hotel for many years , it feels home, and remember “ people come for people not for places “

It was very nice and clean. The staff was superb and wonderful to talk to about assistance during our stay. The beds were super comfy and the rooms were overall quiet!! The hotel staff were so helpful with our luggage and made sure that our heat was working properly.

The one thing that we absolutely did not like was that our pet (cat) was denied access inside the hotel. This was a huge inconvenience due to us having no choice due to having to catch our flight to leave Cairo the next morning....and we absolutely were not going to leave her behind. I am sure there are plenty of people traveling with pets and to not have anywhere to stay with them while awaiting a flight is terribly inconvenient especially with this hotel & many others in the surrounding areas promoting close proximity & free shuttle access to the airport.

I hated being in a room at the far end of the long hall with no elevator near it, so either I had to walk outside or the long halls. It is ridiculous to book anyone in those rooms if any others are available, and ridicuulous to have a staff only elevator in the middle. For this reason alone I would not book this hotel again.

Very close to the airport, which is excellent for stop overs etc. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Also the restaurant and bar are very nice, good selection.

I have commented before on this. If a group of tourists come in, the reception almost comes to a halt. The groups should have only 1 person at the reception dealing with matters, instead of blocking everybody else trying to sign in. This isn't the hotels fault, but if staff would move them to the side it would speed everything up. I stood for 30mins trying to get served, while tourists blocked the reception.

I arrived terminal S and was picked up by the free shuttle in 15 minutes after I called. The reception desk was VERY busy and it took 20+ minutes to check in. They need more staff on the desk. The hotel is well priced and convenient to the airport by free shuttle that goes 24/7. The room I had was on the small side but roomy enough for 1 person. Unfortunately it had a connecting door and the people on the other side were very noisy. The room has all the normal conveniences, like a kettle, soaps, coffee set up, water etc. Also good lighting, compfy beds and pillows. All good.

Comfortable room. Good coffee. Coffee shop staff were very nice.

I expected a friendlier reception from this hotel. We stayed in much cheaper hotels with better service. Shuttle driver that dropped us at the airport was a bit rude. We asked where to put the bags and he just gestured to the back of the bus. Eventually he came back and opened the door. When we pulled up he didn't get out. I took my own bag out. Then he came and threw my friends bag out hitting my leg. Was told shuttle left on the hour and half hour but it seems to go whenever. It left at 4.17am this morning.
