Grandview Motel

Family owed and operated. They live on site. I felt safe . My car was loaded full my entire visit and nothing happened. Owners were friendly and helpful. The flowers and picnic area were well taken care of. The whole area had a nice feel to it. Beautiful views. Close to everything. The pool was a nice added bonus. This is a pet friendly hotel. I liked that part. They had a cat in the office and a dog on staff :) Both very friendly and well behaved. If you don't like pets they will move them to another room for your check in. Super friendly owners. Across the street was a nice little park for your pet or for yourself.

Unfortunately the shower head whistled ( like a tea pot that was ready on the stove) the entire time it was on. Only bad part as it was sensitivity issue for both of us. They are working on renovations at the moment and my room was one of the last ones to be done. I am sure it will be upgraded by my next visit.

Grand view motel was a great stop gap for us on our journey to Vancouver. We are a family of 3 and found that the motel had everything we needed and more. The staff were extremely friendly and our son loved the cat!! The rooms were super clean and the outdoor areas (which include bbq areas, seating and a pool!) were extremely well kept. We were extremely surprised how quiet it was at night despite being close to the road. Rooms were well equipped with everything we needed including toiletries.

If I had to pick one minor thing. The bed nearest the door in our room the mattress was sagging - defo time to replace. However our son slept on this bed and was comfortable so didn’t affect our stay. The other bed was extremely comfortable and we all had a great nights sleep.

Very pleasant motel with wonderful staff and much quieter than the motels along the highway. Highly recommended. This time I took advantage of the guest laundry facilities, which was a great perk for a traveler in perpetual motion. New machines, and you can hang out in your room instead of wasting time at a laundromat.

Some rooms don't have electrical sockets on the side of the room where the bed is.

Staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the room had good air conditioning, decent size, very comfortable and clean.The blackout shades were a nice addition as the room was very bright. Great location with beautiful mountain views in a quiet neighborhood.

The only issue was that the shower head sprayed water everywhere when turned on, so we needed to put towels on the floor to ensure no chance of slipping and falling.

the location and accessibility of the motel was good for our requirements, close to TRU. The room was compact and served it’s purpose. it was neat. the view was beautiful.

I wish the love seat/ couch could have been a pull out bed, and the air conditioning was easy to understand (that’s probably my problem). I would have liked it if there was an option to purchase some detergent pods.

the location was great, within 10 min walk to bus station, supermarkets, and restaurants. Despite it was right on the main road, this place was actually quiet during night. I was able to have good sleep for two nights. The staff were very helpful. The owner lent me a brand-new iphone cord, when mine was malfunctioning, unable to charge, giving me headaches.

Communication was excellent, and plans were made ahead of time for late arrival. Room was comfortable and clean. We were just there for the night while passing through, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Location was great and it was very quiet. Family run with.pride, and it shows.

We were on the main floor, and neighbour upstairs was a little heavy in the foot, so we heard them moving about.

The staff were super nice. We traveled with a small dog, usually pet friendly rooms are stained and smelly, but our room was sparkling clean. There is a nice neighborhood to take your dog for a walk in just across the street too. Also has a bus stop just a few feet from the parking lot entrance. Best value for money I have experienced,!

The communication prior to arrival was top-notch. Was allowed to check in early without extra charges, as my flight arrival was before 3pm, which is the official check-in time The reception, Angie, was fantastic in making me feel welcomed and settled. She organised me to be dropped off on departure since getting a taxi in kamloops can be a stressful affair.
